Re: Air Canada and the Moody Blues

What's happening over at the Big Red? Noticed the stock jumped 11 cents on Friday and closed at a dollar today. What's behind the rally? :smt017

Re: Westjet Second Fleet Type

Well said KAG. No need to join the trend of aviation in the US (and AC/ Jazz, Transat/ Canjet) and create a dysfunctional family at Westjet.

Top Notch! Should be included in every initial 705 groundschool, IMHO.

Re: Dash 8-300 in New Paint

New paint looks great! Tail 325 was one of my favorites. My first "good" landing in the -300 was with GEWQ so I have a special place in my memory for it.

Re: Should I...

I am thoroughly impressed with the advice you're getting AP! Debt is paralyzing! I started flying 10 years ago and just became debt free end of last year. I was able to pay off the loan due to cheap room and board (thanks to my parents) while I instructed for 2 years followed by 6 years flying medev...

Re: Newhires FYI

Thanks so much Canoehead! That is great for doing up a new budget - I start groundschool March 23rd! Will I be on the payroll beginning with Day 1 of groundschool?

Thanks again,

Great idea RFN - get a picture of the -300 cockpit prior to sim. I jumped in the left seat and felt like a fish out of water... wish I had of done that!

Re: Kelowna Airport delays

What a shame to have the ILS/ DME 2 down this day! As for the misinformation... "Pilots must see one mile in front of them" Isn't the requirement just 1/2 mile vis for the departure and approach? Not sure... haven't flown in there for a few years. Sure hope you snag a flight to Calgary... a morning ...

Destination Updates En Route

I traveled with you folks to visit family over the holidays. Just wanted to let you know that I struggled to hear the destination updates (en route) from the Flight Deck. I was mid cabin (row 15) for both outgoing and returning legs. Only the destination temperature was able to be picked out of the ...

Re: The Shepherd

Thanks for the heads up Tids! I'd never heard 'The Shepherd' until last night's airing of it. Awesome story! I took most of it in on a Christmas Eve medevac run via CBC via the ADF!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Re: Is this the Big Nosedive

The Lightspeed Zulu plugs into the drive-thru till. The noise canceling works real slick and the ear phones keep my ears warm when I open the sliding window. It by far beats the ones provided. And I'll use the headset when I'm upgraded from coffee maker to right seat on Timmie's private jet. 714
