Sounds like you were lucky O2. CP walked and took his Approval with him, the last remaining pilot quit a few days later. They are now temporarily operating under another operators AOC. Had to laugh at the latest add on afap dot org dot au states "working in a great team environment"

Re: I fly a DHC2 in Australia, it used to work in CA and AK.

Correct me if I am wrong but that is now 2 written off seaplanes to the same pilot in his last 100hrs on floats. Might be a few years apart but pretty sure he has not done all that much flying in between accidents. He has managed to walk away from both so some might say very lucky pilot some may say...

Re: Under 31 years old with an Australian Licence

Hey All, Just wanted to let you all know that there are now 3 positions available with the company that this thread was all about. 3 pilots walked in as many weeks. Don, Like I said
I am not against getting canadians over here to work but they should be used as a last resort
would you consider importing 75% of the company pilots as an option if there were qualified local pilots out of work.

Re: Under 31 years old with an Australian Licence

cdnplt, Problem here is that there are qualified pilots in oz that would like the work. Cant tell me that a 2000+ hr float pilot with rough water ops and time on type could not handle the conditions, few of those over here too. Just gotta know the right people and know where to look. Chatted to 2 Oz...

Re: Under 31 years old with an Australian Licence

Why not advertise on the Aussie AFAP website...its free and you will no doubt get some interest from Australian float pilots who already have a licence and float time. I know of a few beaver drivers in country with rough water experience. Conditions in the area can be challenging if landing out at t...
