kelowna Flightcraft

Looking to see if anyone has info on the interview process there. I know there is a sim eval but was curious if anyone has gone through the process recently and has any new info on what the process is. Type of questions? Technical or behavioural style?

PM me if you like

Thanks

I have some friends who fly medivacs out west and they said the agreement was if the call was a priority call they used the medivac call sign with centre. If it is just a transfer or low priority (I guess the doctors decide who's high and low) they don't use medivac status. The point being they only...

I waited nearly 5 months before I got PFO'd. Takes way too long to make a decision I think.

I waited for five months before I got PFO'd. I thought that was a stupid amount of time to wait for a no answer. I guess I try again in six months.

Fort St John Accident

Hope everyone is okay - the weather is horrible up there. From Canada.com "There has been a commercial plane crash in Fort St. John after the plane apparently landed short of the runway. Global television has confirmed there were no deaths. The crash occurred during blizzard conditions, with eye wit...

I used the same couch to 5k last winter and have been running ever since. Works too I followed it up with a 10k race a few weeks later. Lots of links there to keep improving as well.

So either nothing has changed or not too many people on here have had an interview lately. I have one in about two weeks and was wondering if anyone has anything to offer up for i...

I got hit three times. Once after my solo and I just happened to pass my private flight test the same day as about 20 air cadet solos so they got me again, and again for college initiation.

The SID's for Vancouver have 165kts restrictions for turboprops to 4000ft. They usually cancel that on departure.

PMA's are great in low visibility. Have used them quite a bit. Eliminates the transition from IFR to visual as the person flying the approach stays on the dials even once control has been transferred. As for captains always doing the landings that isn't necessarily true. As I got closer to upgrading...

To learn to fly college or flight school shouldn't matter. Quality of instructor makes the difference. However getting a degree of some sort will give you something to fall back on if things don't go quite as you plan in the beginning.
