I think the sound the original poster is referring to is discing. The Captain selected discing while he was clearing the active in the first video and the Captain selected discing as he commenced his taxi. Lol, didn't watch the second vid till now... yup, sounds like discing. Looking forward to fly...

At 24 seconds, that is us putting the one engine into start feather and using the other to taxi. This has to do with the cooling down period required for each engine before shutdown (after stopping at the gate, we normally wait 30 sec or so before shutting down number 2 at the same time waiting for ...

I just did mine, drive down to the states to the nearst testing fac. and write the exam.. I went to niagara Int airport, easy to get appt, and its 40questions.. done and done... PM me if you want more details..

HA! Deadheading YYZ to YQB, a couple on board the RJ that absolutely STANK the cabin out. I mean my eyes were watering, thank god they were sitting beside the capt. lol.....
