Re: Air Canada Pool
It's first 4 years that has a capped pay scale regardless of type. Once you go to the left seat you are no longer on the "flat" pay and move to formula pay for your aircraft type and YOS.

Have a look at AC for all the London routes announced by WJ. Prices are identical or lower. Just looked at YVR-LHR for 250 total taxes in. Going to be a very competitive summer for the London market.

Did I see $36/credit listed somewhere as the new starting pay? I never thought I would see the day where a Georgian RJ FO starts at a higher hourly wage than at Jazz.

Re: USA LAGs restrictions?
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. My apologies. I used the term personal travel to attempt to differentiate from being deadheaded while on duty. Commuting travel is what I was referring to. Let me provide the following example just to be as clear as possible. Pilot lives in Windsor Ontario and works in...

USA LAGs restrictions?
Good day, If traveling on personal travel domestically within the USA can a Canadian pilot with valid RAIC in uniform expect the same Liquid and Gels exemptions as in Canada? I don't see why not as we receive it while on duty in the US, however thought I would see if anyone had any personal experien...

Re: MyTravelID assistance in listing for flight
Hi Paul, If you purchased the e-ticket through the MyIDtravel site I believe it automatically lists you. At least it has for every carrier I have ever used MYIDTRAVEL to purchase zeds through (AC, WJ, Porter, Delta). You could most likely call their reservations line and give them your name and they...

Before everyone gets themselves all worked up over hidden conspiracies, I'd like to shed some light on the subject. Job Ad #1: Don't fear fellow Canadian pilots, this job ad is legit... and yes, Sunwing would like to hear from you. This past winter, Sunwing hired 40 Canadian seasonal pilots WITHOUT...

I applied to the earlier post that did NOT have the 737 type rating listed. I met all the requirements and didn't hear a thing.

Re: MyID Travel site
Nothing but good for that site! Can list yourself for any number of flights all at the same time and just get a full refund for the ones you don't use. Can also change travel plans last minute and re-route yourself if it means not spending hours or days in an airport like with old paper tickets. It ...

Re: Hood time for student pilot
Sorry, no can do. The flight training for the CPL must be conducted by the holder of a flight instructor rating. See CAR 425.21 You're thinking of hood time towards the instrument rating, which is basically the wild west. Ha! I thought about it right after i posted that it may be interpreted this w...

Lived there for 3 years all year round. Bite the bullet right away and get a snow machine, it will make the winters awesome. There are usually enough friends with boats in the summer to avoid purchasing a boat as well. Used to bitch about the negative parts of it when I lived there. Moved down south...

By 'overshoot' you mean 'go around' or missed approach right? Hi Captain S
I just tried it and also had a slight white resolution issue with Sunan... It looks like there is at least one plane parked on the main apron there. It appears as though the military field is at a place called Sunchon... slightly northwest. You can zoom in on it with no issues.

A typical day of a 704 FO...... 0623: The alarm goes off. The timing is down to a science so as to report precisely 30 min prior to scheduled departure. I hear the coffee brewing that I meticulously prepared the night prior and set to auto-brew. That's right, no screwing around. My hefty FO paychequ...

Try Arcticovers in Winnipeg. I've dealt with them in the past for a light piston single and they asked for type and model as well as the year/serial number. Everything showed up made perfectly and fit exactly as expected.
