Re: Hazards of Running a Tank Dry
I have not flown multi Cessna's and will not speak to the safety of running the tanks dry in them. I will speak to what I know and is common practice in commercial flying. There is really only one way to know if you have taken all of the fuel available from a tank, and that is to blow the tank. If y...

Dam those 10 000 Ruskies... My Ranger Patrol and I are heading up with our trusty 303's and were taking it all back. The Canadian Ranger Project is expanding, developing into an official reserve unit of the Canadian Forces. Boots on the ground is a term tosed around a lot, putting local hunters and ...

Yop Peachy keen.
I think I heard #6 in the line up listening to Radio in Fort nelson today.
Peak periods are a little hecktick, leads to much longer wait times on the ground and can realy screw with slot times due to flow control going to Calgary.

Re: Calling taxiing on 126.7 at uncontrolled airports?
1 call on 126.7 prior to take off isn't going to hurt anyone and hey it might even save you from a close encounter or worse a direct conflict. If we are talking about uncontroled airports that include whatever little grass, mud, swamp hole that you are able to land your aircraft in, chances are many...

Re: Should the government be funding flight training at all?
I think there are an awful lot of graduated cpl's from both Private FTU and College programs that never end up working as a profesional pilot. I think there are even more that might only do it for 1-2 years and decide that the starting low wages and hard work are not worth it. I'm going to guess som...

Jeremy, I like how you were vi-ing for a FA spot then all of a sudden you are flying, I guess the recognized you had been there in the trenches for longer and deserved your shot. I think it's funny how they paint it as you are so hard done by being on the ramp for less then a year when just across t...

I've seen a lot of discusions about the iphone aviation apps, just not a lot about android apps, most likely because its fairly new to Canada.
