Re: hiring factors (older entry level pilots)

Yes your everything will hurt, yes the pay will suck for a while, yes you'll have more fun than you should, no you probably won't die, y...

Astroguy I believe anyone here would cheerfully go flying with you as your enthusiasm and positive attitude would be a great reminder to all of us as to why we started flying in the first place.

Didn't they post an ad looking for both jet and 1900 pilots literally the same day as this post? (Which they acknowledged and responded to.)

Air Bravo could use a few pc12 fo's. Nice for a float guy to get his/her feet wet doing something else. Bases in Tbay, Barrie and Sudbury.

Headset as an income tax deduction
It's been roughly eleventy million years since I've purchased a new headset and was just wondering if it's an actual income tax deduction. I'm just a regular employee, not a contractor. Side note; Bose vs. Zulu? I'm too lazy to do any actual research of my own. Aaaaand go.

Or, I don't know, take the 703 job that pays six figures and see what happens?

Re: Air Bravo Again
Everyone's situation is different. A few months ago I found myself needing something different so I came here. Rotating schedule, better than average pay and actually having fun while doing it. Is it for everybody? No. At the end of the day it's a typical 703 operator with typical 703 shenanigans. D...

Lost or stolen booklet
Any one here ever had the unfortunate experience of having their blue booklet wander off the face of the planet, i.e. stolen, destroyed, eaten or just plain lost? If so how much of a stupendous pain was it to have replaced?

noise cancelling headset; what to buy?
So I'm looking at buying my first ever, honest to goodness, I'm-a-big-boy-now, brand spanking new ANR noise cancelling headset. Tell me what I want and why using small words and maybe pretty pictures. I respond well to puppet theatre.

Well this is over a year old, however they are on contract. FO's start in low-mid forties with upgrade times being 2-3 years or more (Captains don't leave). When upgraded a new Captain can apparently make 90K in year one with a bit of OT. Schedule is 4 on 4 off, rotating days and nights 12 hour shi...
