If Canjet Holidays/Vacations ramps up does this mean that they may actually have to rent 10 square feet of office space within a 30 km radius of Pearson Airport?
The memo is surely jesting.

I cannot seem to find the paragraph that speaks to the pay reductions and working rules of any management types. Seems like same old same old in the ranks at AC.

Re: Air Transat sets stage for important announcements
As painful as it is to hear, there is a lot of truth in Goose's posting. IMP really has no incentive to see Canjet grow or succeed. Just my two euro's on the matter :) You have finally figured out what the rest of us knew since about the late 80's. I think in Downtown Toronto they call it "turning ...

Best of luck to all those at Canjet. But did you really think working for Ken Rowe and Canjet was going to take you to retirement?

Unionize Skyregional !
Well now that the argument has started which is the old feed the family argument or turn down sweatshop wages there is an out. Unionize the dam shop IMMEDIATELY and hammer out a darn contract and get rid of these cancerous sweatshop regional Terms of Employment. Or else keep your comments to yoursel...

Re: Scrooged by Sunwing
Should we consider buying air tickets on Sunwing for my next trip ? Nope, buy tickets from a company who pays their employees fairly ( flight attendants, pilots and other workers ) and who employs Canadians , who pay taxes here and contribute to our economy. Are you suggesting the "Canadians" that ...

Re: WestJet wetlease - CTA Decision 471-A-2012
Try telling that to an unemployed/underemployed type rated B757 pilot. WJ, and other airlines in Canada, have hired hundreds of pilots over the past few years. Encore alone will hire something in the order of 450 pilots over the next 5 years. Perhaps there are other reasons why your resume is at th...

This thread WAS about Skyregional unleashing the worst terms of employment for a jet job in perhaps Canadian history. Lets not turn it into The College of babbling Pilots.

Re: WestJet wetlease - CTA Decision 471-A-2012
So just doing it a little bit is alright? I don't see 9 frequencies a week from Canada to Hawaii for 6 months a year, operated by 2 airframes out of a fleet of 102 aircraft having any significant detrimental impact on the industry. It's a pretty lazy schedule. WJ could quite easily move that to 11x...

Re: Letter to Erica Usher of CIC
Pilots looking out for pilots. That is a new one for me (and I've been around). As the line up to fly a Sky Regional Embraer at $70k/year gets longer and longer. Yet those pilots employed by Sky Regional on the Dash 8's are being denied to bid across. All this seems a bit rich as the cap in hand wal...

Re: AIR TRANSAT FALL LAYOFF here we are...
So let's see here. Transat sub-contracts Canjet the lowest paying B737 operator for lift. Canjet in turn hires seasonal foreigners to fill in the gaps for years with ZERO reciprocation and expands steadily. Now Transat lays off and your telling us its Sunwings fault. So if Canjets low wages were to ...

Re: Sunwing Adds a New Twist on Foreign Pilots
Can someone explain to me how this is even legal? As it is right now 4 out of 7 pilots you have at Sunwing are from abroad. So how comfortable would you feel when you buy a vacation package and board the aircraft when you have a 57% (probability = 200/350) chance one of the pilots are from abroad a...

Re: Grounding Foreign Pilots
Good conversation. I am in favor of 1 for 1 reciprocation or bust. However it is kind of sweet when a 2nd year F/O flies a better schedule than a 14 year Air Canada F/O when his seniority balloons 100 notches in the Winter. Just saying.

Re: Sunwing to Europe!
So since I made money and a pilot didn't, that is not cool? I would assume by your groomer jab it is not cool. I would much rather Sunwing continue with the cautious approach and continue to inject cash into Canadian aviation, rather than get 4 widebodies, have a bad go of it, and destroy the whole...
