Beaver Door Hinges
I need a picture of the original beaver door hinges that allow removal of the main door. I want to fabricate the same for my sailboat. Can someone help me out and send me a pic or two? I saw this door and will copy it and put beaver door like hinges so I can have a few door options. Long live the be...

Re: 3 dead, 2 uninjured in NWT
The reality of this type of flying is so much easier to accept when an incident is not so present. My deepest condolences and heart aching sympathies to the Pilot, her Colleagues, Ted, the community and the Families affected. Time will help to heal these wounds, it has before and it will again. Be p...

Re: Hai Au Aviation
I was Chief Pilot for the better part of 3 years. Nothing shy of a fantastic little operation and a phenomenal overseas experience. I would be happy to vouch for them. I have moved on to another Asian Seaplane Operations simply for a change of scenery. Give me shout anytime, info@seaplaneconsulting....

Survey Flying Sample Contract / Bid process help needed
Hi Everyone, David Radford here from Hai Au Aviation in Vietnam. I'm trying to bid on a survey project of considerable area & hours over 2 years. I never did work for the Fugro's or Sander's of the world so I'll be hiring a guy if we get the project. Would anyone be able to email me a sample contrac...

Instrument Renewal - Overseas
I couldn't find what I was looking for on previous threads, sorry if this is repetitive. Does anyone have any experience with instrument rating renewals overseas. I'm a DPE (designated pilot examiner in Vietnam) and have a pilot on a Canadian validation. If I do a check ride with him and/or he does ...

Wooden Propeller Identification Markings 1940's
Could someone please help me identify what the markings on the propeller mean.
I assume the three small stamps on the hub are ame stamps from inspections?
Nov. 42 seems self explanatory? 1942 construction
Am I correct?
and what would D.6.33P4-42 LL 4699
Thanks in advance.

Fortunate to have met Dave a few times flying in the Nahanni. So unfortunate about his family's loss. From what I gather from this oak, he'll prevail.

As a fellow NB'er now living and flying floats in the North I dream of someday coming back and setting up a course / float charter but for the time being I would firstly suggest you go west as future work will require you to know the coast, mountains, swells, etc... that guys like Dave Budd at www.o...

Towns with Fort eh? Flying in fantastic places that allow you to live in fantastic places. If the Nahanni moutains, Virginia Falls, Cirque of Unclimbables, prime hunting and pickeral fishing were right outside a place that didn't start with Fort, you'd be making a hell of a lot more radio calls then...

Re: Dolly Departure
Unfortunate to hear of this accident. I actually ferried the new Beaver to Alpine Air a few weeks prior and did a dolley launch out of Fort Nelson, BC to get to whitehorse. It was my first dolley launch and the wise advice of my boss to put the sleeping bag from the back of the cabin under my ass so...

Thanks HighSea

The job posting that came out today says, Company TBA. Anyone got the goods on who, where, what this is all about?
Definitely of interest this time of year now that both our floatplanes are out of the water.

Re: Botswana Africa Bush Flying / On-line TV series
Eventually. I've been flying floats for Simpson Air into the Nahanni National Park Reserve for he past two seasons and have lots of great footage but waiting for some time to put it together and throw it out there. Now that I'm in Canada, there's also a little worry about those guys with the sloping...
