Aside from what you can see on PCC, is there anything else someone would like to share about them? You never hear about their small corporate flight department and that is probably a good thing. I would Just like to know what their sched is like and time to upgrade. I figure their salary is pretty g...

Sky_Conqueror you must be related to that other bozo LaurentDussolier. If you have a good head on your shoulders and a great work ethic nobody needs a recruitment service. Africa or Asia......3000km away? Try 13 000. You have no idea what your talking about regards to overseas employment. Maybe you ...

Re: Low time jobs overseas??
LaurentDussolier, thats terrible advice. Etihad, pack your bags check it out and if it works out you'll have a great experience and if you don't your none the wiser. Make some contacts, do your homework and buy a ticket. Half the pilots I flew with overseas either started in SE Asia or went back aft...

This might sound silly but buy your tickets on a Wednesday. Doesn't mater which Airline, but in my experience that day for some reason has saved me probably thousands.

How to please the owner(s) of a private aircraft.
Im really curious what some pilots do out their to add a little extra to please the owners and friends of their aircraft. Whether its a smaller Piston or larger corporate jets. Where our plane is hangared I often see 604s, L60s, and sometimes a few Citations. Some crews appear to do more then others...

What about Alta flights, Bar XH, and Nor-Alta? I have only seen their planes around, but I understand they were/are doing some work in lieu of Air Mikisews rather sticky situation.Bingo. It's surprising another carrier hasn't moved in there already.

Often If in a soft spot and while still using a low power setting, I find pulling the control column back and forth a few times smoothly allows me to "rock myself" out of a most situations dry or wet. It helps to get the thing rolling, sometimes while using the lowest power setting. Also, think ahea...

So, have you bothered to do any research? Botswana, Malawi, Namibia, Tanzania, Kenya, Zambia, Sudan, Senegal.....all have lots of Sched/Charter ops. FYI, your going to need a license issued by the CAA in ANY of those countries listed, and i'm going to guess in just about any country in Africa, or fo...

Coastal Aviation, Dar Es Salaam. Check them out, Caravans in Tanzania, also a Pilatus, or maybe two now. I ticked off over 70 different airstrips I have landed at while working with them in the last 2 years. They were very nice to me, and I was lucky to be treated so well. Try, Anna, she is the boss...

Coming into Vamizi Island.
Although this gorgeous little island off the coast of Mozambique we often (Coastal Aviation) have charters into this narrow strip from Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. Naturally clearing customs in the little fishing village/town Pemba, MZ.

Common Cathay question,
Just out of curiosity, after hunting down many plausible answers and many arguments to the different variations....... Why are the winglets (wing fences) on the A380 similar to those on the A319, 20, and 21? Why not use the raked winglets used on the A330/340? Not that I have an interview, I would j...

What happened to being stupid? Not everyone who drinks inside of the 8, 12, or whatever hours has a disease. Just cause this is Canada doesn't mean everybody should get a freebee from loosing his/her job under these circumstances. They should be so lucky to have loopholes in the system. :? Hit the h...

Re: Getting a job outside Canada
Leave as soon as you can and enjoy the adventure. Well Put! +1 To go overseas in many places you require a working permit which is near impossible unless you 1.) marry someone in that country 2.) have family members there, in which case a working permit is still a decade away 3.) have a company spo...
