Hello,
Can someone share their experience typically how long after the interview that you hear back from them whether you are in or not? Not necessarily the groundschool date but that you are in the hiring pool. Thanks!

Re: Would a YUL Based Pilot Fly YYZ Routes?
Generally you will stay with the same captain/fo. We tend to switch back ends quite a bit, at least in YYZ. We typically end up with different FAs every 2-3 legs it seems. Yeah usually same captain/fo, on the dash 8 you usually stay with the same FA as well unless people get reassigned. On Q400 and...

Re: Would a YUL Based Pilot Fly YYZ Routes?
Yes it happens. There are a bunch of yyc pairings that go out east. And some yyz pairings that go west. I just finished a 4 day that overnighted in YQT first night then day 2 and 3 do a bunch of yyz turns. Then day 4 come back to yyz and dh home. Somewhat inefficient but they make the pairings. :smt...

Total of 10 to 12 days OT and 2 weeks of vacation used so far...total ...

Re: Sky Regional Travel Benefits
I fly the classic. I love it. Would not want the Q. RJ maybe eventually.
Sorry the classic makes you unhappy.
But if a guy is unhappy, he's unhappy!
Anyhow, I know from a Sky commuter that you at least get WJ reciprocal jumpseat.

Re: Jazz Aug 31 Equipment BID
also my understanding is you can bid from the classic to the Q because it is not a full course, just a conversion course. So if you really want off the classic, my advice would be bid the Q at any base I believe that's how it is supposed to be. However I have not seen it once. The only time I have ...

Re: Possible to bid for more than one base?
You can put any base and any position you want in the order of your priority and it will get awarded that way whatever has open spots.
So if you prefer one over the other, you could put that 1st then the other 2nd and then your current position 3rd (if you don't want any other bases).

What about those pants? I have heard many people, me included, having pants with no back pockets. Is that the design? If so, why?!

Re: Northern Air Carriers Feeling the Pinch.
The problem is that the regionals and airlines are boosting good quarterly profits and only paying their pilots nickel and dimes. Upon another note, I got a substantial raise today to $90k, simply because my company does not want to lose pilots and park aircraft. It worked, I am staying but the reg...

Re: Shooting incident at KFLL
Heard a while ago (now), that he was ex-military (honourably discharged) and travelled from Anchorage to Minneapolis then onwards to Fort Lauderdale. So that info must have been corrected.
Then again, this might also now be wrong information too.

Re: Seniority Question
All are based on seniority except for overtime flying which is first come first served on the website.
But they call people on WDO (work on day off) based on seniority but you go to the bottom if you have already done a WDO that month.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

6 mins drive to YVR with no red lights and crazy drivers around. Be lucky if I make it if the latter is present.

Re: First job, Low hour group 1 questions
Have you considered Air Creebec in Timmins? It's kind of a good middle ground between a large city and small town. They have a ramp program but I am not familiar with current wait times there. I have seen it as short as 6 months and as long as 2 years. Could be different now, leaning more towards th...

Re: Too cold for YYZ workers
Are you suggesting that the employer provide appropriate clothing? Isn't that the employees' responsibility? Shouldn't they come to work in an outdoor environment prepared to work in whatever the weather? Yes, it is the employees' responsibility, if they're not prepared to work safely, whether that...
