I went in to TC at lunchtime today to check out the requirements for the ATPL. When I asked about TC changing this rule for FO time she mentioned that while ICAO has gone to 1:1, Transport still only counts co-pilot time as half and she hasnt heard about anything changing anytime soon.

Last year we were going into Valleyview in the middle of the night for a medevac. The airport had been notamed closed for drag racing unless you were an air ambulance. My captain called ahead and even spoke to the head drag racing person to confirm and had been told the runway was completely clear. ...

Our company does 10 shifts and 5 days off. It's great because I get to enjoy my job without sacrificing my friends and family or burning out. By the time my 5 days off are done I'm looking forward to returning to work and flying :D

Depending where you work the medevac lifestyle isnt all that bad. My company does 12 hours shifts with 10 days on and 5 off. When I'm on call I can hang out in my backyard or anywhere within 15 min of the airport. The cell phone umbilical cord gets a bit old after a while but the pay is pretty good ...

I'm pretty happy with my Palm T5. I especially like that the screen on it is big enough to watch a downloaded tv show or movie while waiting for the ambulance.

I did my interview on a friday and got the call for sim on a wednesday. Did the Sim on a Friday and got the PFO in the mail the following friday. Some people have had to wait longer to find out though. Oddly enough I thought my interview sucked but that my sim went relatively well, go figure!

So I was told to take a hike a few weeks ago aka recieved a PFO letter and now my junkbox has 8 emails from Sonja Porter telling me and all past applicants to reapply. I'm not going to bother but I'm curious as to why they need to ask this of everyone. Did their computer system crash or did some off...

TC medical fees to be paid via Collectcorp

I called with a couple questions but the person on the other line wasnt too bright or friendly, so maybe someone here can shed some l...

I'm curious, does Jazz allows you to fly contract for someone else on your days off or if it's prohibited by the union?
