Re: ICAO PBN codes

There are many differences. For example RNP 10 requires two long range navs. The requirements are clear in the ICAO PBN manual. The CARS also describe what most of the requirements are. You can meet RNP5 and not RNP 4 or 10.

...But if you want to operate under any ops spec's (eg. lower than standard takeoff limits, RVR 1200, RVSM, etc.) you will need a POC no matter the type.

Re: Laser lights, call you MP!!

The government has got to do something with this laser light issue. If I remember correctly in the US is it a felony to even point one at an airplane. Even fireworks are considered the same. It is time for us to call Transport Canada and our MP's. Get them to do something. I don't want to hear that...

I am not sure what your mission is but if you are up there for any length of time I would want to stay in YFB. There is usually plenty of 100LL in YFB except for the year they got a bad batch and burnt it all off. Why not ship a load of 100LL to YZG (Salluit) for use during the day and just ferry to...

Big aircraft for such low yeild routes. As well as the cargo how are they going to do it with the dash??? No operator can make a go of these extremely low yield areas without assistance. That's great. BTW if Empress hires you, you'd be very very wise to leave your present employer on good terms.
Not sure what you meant by that but I have only heard great things from Canadian North. What are they using to serve those routes? Fokkers?
