If you're going to a whorehouse at that altitude, regardless of TC rules, my suggestion would be to use the O2 on taxi, take off, in cruise and particularly on final when pilot workload is at it's highest. Remember, we aim to please...

Good luck Capt.!

See what happens, I'm sure everybody who has ever even looked at a King Air will have a resume going there - not to mention phone calls. The sectretary probably put the ad out, makes her/his life that much easier...

With the current scandle underway, Martin will probably delay the election for a couple of months, although the fall has even been suggested. They want time to get the results of an inquiry made public. Should know in the next few weeks - but hey, they'll probably sweep it under the carpet...

There is one crucial drawback to the College Diploma Grad in the North - the haircut. After Sept 15th, you'll want as much hair as you can get for insulation purposes. If you go in May or June, don't see a barber again till spring...

My personal favorite has to be Air Force One. Talk about ann assualt on the proffessional senses! When the '47 rotates and cleas the terminal building amoong other things is pretty bad.

Battle of Britain - now there's a flying movie.

Moving - do the math, there aren't that many jet jobs compared to active pilots....

That said, if things picked up again, there could be lots - then they'd take anyone with pulse wouldn't they! Guess this debate be obsolete??

Well, it certainly looks like I'm loosing this one. As to the CMA comment - I've got some good friends there who I've crossed paths with around say Peace River etc. So picture this. Two pilots, both brought up through the right seat 250 hr route, Capt with 4000+hrs, f/o with 3000+hrs, hardcore IFR d...

Ok, I think I did lose sight of the original post. Oops. 500? Hmm, the SP IFR is probably not he best route. I think we ended up talking about a variety of subjects here under an inappropriate banner. As to your last comments, if that young guy/gal was walking out to that a/c with the pilot you ment...

And there are so many 747 Capt.'s out there...

The point you guys seem to be making is, settle for what's easiest and most boring in order to get ahead on a seniority list. Have your way. I'm sure their careers will be filled with stimulation...

CP - Hour building is of course important. But becomming an f/o asap as you stated earlier, is a sure way to build a mediocre pilot with limited skills. As far as WJ goes, there are pilots there that I have flown many hours with and would NEVER send my familly with if it were a single pilot a/c, IFR...

Ah yes, the attitude of the modern ladder climbing pilot. What ever happened to getting the BEST experience one can get, instead of flying the same routes in the same machine year after year as a co-joe until the lucky day when the CP hands you the reigns. Then you get the guys who have 4000hrs and ...

If you have a good paying job you really like, keep do'in what you're doing. Things pay wise right now are bad enough for those of us with time, much less just starting out. Hey you never know, you could own your own plane by 35 and then fly for fun...

Good Luck

B - then the even higher paying, turbine Capt. job will be available.

The real reason though, is that you'll gain better experience in the left seat, probably by yourself, than you would as an f/o - that will make you a better Capt. when the time comes. No question.

First off, if you've got adrenelen shooting through your viens on any IFR approch, you're in the wrong job. The wonderful thing about the IFR environment is that is controlled. you fly the a/c to the numbers, then look outside, if you don't see what you're supposed to see, go to the next set of numb...
