May God bless our dear aviation brothers and sisters, as well as passengers, who were all lost on this day eight years ago. May they continue to rest peacefully and may their memories continue to live on...
Be safe everyone and have a good weekend.

Re: jazz FO
And while we are on this topic, I would like to say THANK YOU once more to the many Air Canada crews who have taken me in the flightdeck over the past year and a half, since I've been at Jazz.

Re: jazz FO
Massey1, I'm a Jazz F/O based in YVR. As a commuter living in YUL, I can fully appreciate the value of jumpseating. Although I'm not on our jumpseat committee and although I have no idea who this particular person is, I still hold my head down in shame. It only takes one to ruin it for everyone else...

Wow!
Hey, this is sooo cool. I didn't even know there was an Aerobatics & Airshows forum on this site. I never scrolled that far down to see it I guess. In any case, I love aerobatics and I love airshows. Unfortunately, there are no air shows held in Montreal anymore. Anyone know where one could enquire ...

Happy Holidays!
Hi everyone. I'm rarely on this site anymore, but as we near years end, I just wanted to take this opportuinty to wish all my aviation peers at Air Canada mainline a very safe and happy holiday season and warmest wishes for 2009. Early last month, I celebrated one year at Air Canada Jazz and so far,...

Happy Holidays!
I rarely log on to the AvCanada site anymore. Because more often than not, when somebody posts something, others (probably for lack of nothing more constructive to do with their time) tend to reply with sarcasm and nonsense. And I have no time for that. But nevertheless, I thought I'd take a moment ...

Re: AC cuts 2000 jobs, What does this do to Jazz?
They're cutting Vancouver Sacramento huh? That was one of the new runs we had just started with the RJ, wasn't it? I remember putting that into my Jepp manual not too long ago. In any case, I just hope Saudi Arabia will start producing more barrells cause this whole thing is getting way out of contr...

Re: Jumpseating on Air Canada?
Yes, you do need to be listed as far as I remember. I used to jumpseat all the time when I worked with Kelowna Flightcraft, as I was a commuter. You must first contact Air Canada's crew scheduling. They will ask which company you work for, your rank (Capt., F/O, S/O) and your employee number. They w...

Lol...I love to get on this forum to see all the different views and opinions that everyone has. Not only on this particular topic, but many others in the past. Sometimes, it can even turn into a heated arguement that could run on for days and days. A one page thread could turn into a 5 page, or eve...

Re: base trade
Yeah, you're right about that Brize. It wasn't that long for me though. I was based in YVR when I first started on the line in mid January. When the bids came out, it showed me going to YUL as of May 1st. That was actually pretty quick. But had I know that the YUL flying would be so boring, I would ...

Re: Fitness Training
Shamrock104, I was a personal fitness trainer for nearly 11 years. Also competed in two bodybuilding competitions, so I definately know about the dieting part! It all depends on what results you're looking for. Do you want to get lean? Do you want to lose some weight? Are you looking to get into any...

Re: base trade
Cool. Thanks buddy. Well, my current standing bid already reflects the fact that I want at YYZ base (preferably on the CRJ if I can get it). YYZ has the greatest variety in their flying, compared to all the other bases. Thats what I'm looking for, more variety. The flying out of YUL is quite boring ...

Rising Oil Prices
Will we ever see oil prices return to what they were 10 years ago? Is this a sign of the times? Will we ever get a break, or are these outrageous prices here to stay?
