Re: Airplane not flown for 3 months
Thank You for all the responses, it feel already a lot better. I did not plan to have my plane , which I mainly use as an occasional mode of transportation , inactive for such a time-period. Not so much the winter-season, but work, and now an expired "aviation data booklet" which is being renewed pr...

Airplane not flown for 3 months
I have been unable to fly my airplane for the last 2 months and it seems unlikely that I will be able flying it for another month. Just before my last flight the oil/fllter has been changed . I use Aeroshell 15w50 with camguard added in a midtime Lycoming IO-360. Any experience with leaving the airp...

After reading certain comments on this site I can understand why pilots are paid pittens in Canada.
It is almost farcical. One considers himself better than the other.

Is there any more news of Air Transat recalling flight attendants and pilots in April ? I assume that one cabin staff less per aircraft would result in +\- 80 less flight attendants. I hope that all those who are still waiting for a recall will soon get some possitive news.

Bbgd, I am sure You are kidding. If an B737 operator can only pay 85000$ for 737 capt. ,than that operator should not be in the bussiness of operating 737's but King Airs. I'm am positive that a 737 Captaincy is paid more ,even in Canada. Flying airliners is a career not a hobby.

Re: Any news on the recall of Air Transats FA's and Pilots?
Canada certainly supports more than one (or two) etops operators. A few off the top of my mind: Air France, Qatar, Emirates, Ethiad, Gulf, Sunwing, JAL, Cathay, Thai, Ethiopian, KLM, LOT, Svit, BA, Icelandair, etc etc etc That was precisely my point. The business is there, those foreign operators ha...

Re: Any news on the recall of Air Transats FA's and Pilots?
I suppose that this seasonal employment modus operantis results in a high turnover in staff , especially f/a's as many of them might have found other employment. I am sure only those with high seniority are able enjoying year round employment. Same must be true for pilots, since A330 rated pilots ar...

Any news on the recall of Air Transats FA's and Pilots?
Is there any recent news on the possible recal of Air Transats layed-off FA's and Pilots? How many of each, and when? I suppose the leased A330's should be returning soon since the 2012 Hajj is finished.

Re: Petition against the practice of Temporary Foreign Pilot
It is sad to see how people react to " foreigners" taking Canadians jobs. I know a lot of Canadian pilots employed by foreign airlines enjoying good working conditions ,earning honest wages flying decent equipment. Pilot employment is a global playing field, not a local one. I am sure that those "fo...
