Re: Westjet mainline bases for OTS hires
As you can imagine most OTS new hires will be going to YYZ. All forecast expansion for the foreseeable future will occur in YYZ. First Officer openings in the Western bases depend on how many western FO's accept an upgrade in YYZ. Future growth is obviously unpredictable and past results don't neces...

Now THAT my friends is why I haven't lost faith. Well done boys.
Re: Why?
I got on at Mainline with 1200tt because I put on my resume that I'd flown with 7thirtyseven and they credited that time 10-1.

Hi Alain,
I'll try to see if I can figure out who's working those flights and give them your contact info. Can't guarantee I'll be successful but you never know. Either way good luck and have fun!

Re: WPPA.ca
I for one would like to thank JSYK for reminding me how much my life sucks. I really and truly had no idea. I was too busy flying great equipment with great people on a good schedule for great pay.

She's a lovely woman with a great heart who means well. Went a tad too far there and has since brought things back. I'm sure our FA's will always add a little extra spice to their job and I personally love them for it. Some like it some don't and that's OK. Some take it too far, that's not OK but th...
Re: MAX!
Short stage lengths (ie in and out of YMM) mean typically lower altitudes, which means lower cruise speeds for a given cost index. Anything above 360-370 and cruise will be .76+. Get slowed down above that altitude it's probably some other reason.

When you have eye surgery you're supposed to tell Transport. They'll send you a questionnaire for you and you optho to fill out, they'll review it then remove the restriction. Not sure how long it takes because when I had Lasik I had to not fky for 6 months after. Not sure what the restriction is no...

Re: William and the Sea King
Apparently landing on water is only done in an emergency and the things would fill up with water pretty quick. So when they practice it they plug the holes so the thing doesn't sink. Reason the tape's yellow is it's pretty important they get it all off afterward and if it stands out they're less lik...

Re: advice needed: across the atlantic with 2 canines
KLM does "specialty" live cargo. Maybe they would have an idea? Even if you can't travel with the dogs it is possible they may have a more humane transport option than the cargo hold. Good luck!
