Re: Airline Support Aircraft
Long time ago (mid aughts) , we used to do this kind of flights quite regularly out of YYC for Delta, AC but mostly Jazz. Lots of taking AME and tires up to YZF. Once took an AME from YYC to YQR just to sign off an MEL ‘M’ procedure in the logbook. Not sure how frequent this is nowadays. You would b...

Been having long wait times ranging from 25 minutes to well over an hour. I always call to set up the day before and I don't have much issue with sitting on hold while I'm in the hotel room. What I have issue is with calling to report arrival time (selection 3) and being on hold for 25 to 1.5 hours....

Re: Arinc Direct
We use AIRINC for planning/filing and have just switched to Foreflight for Jepps AIRINC app currently does not have capabilities to display Jepp, nor can I see Boeing allowing them to display Jepp. We also were disappointed that Boeing is forcing users to pay even more $ for Foreflight on top of the...

Re: Passive noise reduction headset + earplugs, will it work?
Been using a Clarity Aloft for almost a decade in biz Jets and Kingair.
Best headset I’ve ever used. My new airplane came with Bose A20s. Tried them for a couple of flights and hated them.

Any one still getting across us/can border and back with CANPASS corporate?

When he says “landing gear”, the other pilot responds “down”...which suggests to me that is the landing checklist, the gear is already down..
But yeah, those fireworks do seem a bit close....

Re: Is it really Prist
Do any tri-hole Falcons require Prist? The Dassault AFM for the 50 & 900 list approved anti-icing additives and their maximum concentrations ....otherwise provides no guidance for its use. But I was told in groundschool that fuel anti-icing is not necessary due to design of the fuel delivery system...

Re: DHC6 autofeather
Both companies I flew for that operated DHC6 (First Air and Borek), AFX was armed for takeoff and approach/landing.
Reason for arming during the approach was, as stated previously, to allow autofeathering in the event of an engine failure in a go-around.
Cheers
