Re: 737 Max delivery
Any room for Bombardiers C-Series in Air Canada's fleet in the coming years? You would think the government would pressure them into buying local. Maybe jazz? Historically jazz brought all Bombardier 705 machine. If AC stop limiting the number of seats that jazz can fly; I can see Jazz/Sky/Georgian...

Re: Air Canada Pool
This news might already be known by some, if not most of you, but just got news that the plan is still to hire 160-180 new hires by July 2016. Three ground schools with 20 pilots each are planned but the end of 2015 (some maybe already underway). The rest in the new year... Looking pretty good if y...

Re: 747 EPR Question
if this is for cathay sim eval
Don't worry too much; they will give you another set of EPR for you to memorize when you get there
just remember the AOA and you will be golden (expect to fly as a single pilot)

Can AvCanada ban Sunwing from advertising on here already???
I know more than 20 people applied; some with internal references and met all requirements and NO CALL. Who are they trying to fool but themselves.

Re: To all Canadian pilots who applied to work at Sunwing.
What is going on with sunwing? Seems like they started a ground school already and took the ads out a few weeks ago. Then the add reappeared on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON????? I'm pretty sure if they just click on their email there is already 3000+ applicants already, why do they want more resumes????

If that is the case, that's a d*** move. Even fast food restaurants are eliminating foreign workers (BC and Alberta); how can an airline operation get away with stuff like this??

Re: Air Canada Career Path
What aircraft would a new hire operate on. Do all new pilots go to the Embraer or is it like at Jazz (they get whatever is open, Dash or CRJ)? And how long is the wait to 777 FO and 777 CA? I believe all new hires go to Rouge FO on the bus or 67. Wait time to 777 depends on base (example yyz will b...

what is the current opinion on the best study guide for these exams? Sharper Edge? .? Aerocourse? I've done mine a month ago, I used both sharper's edge and aerocourse. Some question appeared on my exam from aerocourse (word to word) but I'd say take the aerocourse. If you are cheap like me, just g...
