Re: Sandy Lake Seaplane Service

That is horrible news. I didn’t know Tom well, but could tell he was a great guy. I remember breaking down in Sandy at night. I caught a ride to the sea plane office. Him and the boys put me up for the night with steaks and drinks despite having never met any of them. I’ll always remember him helpin...

Re: How do you value yourself as a low time pilot?

You’re not very valuable. You are a dime a dozen. Also when you reference that you have “gone through the same process of training”, you haven’t. All of those 5000-6000 hours of extra flying are when you truly learn how to fly. Your CPL is a licence to learn. Be sure to keep your self respect along ...

Re: Air India crew save 777 from certain disaster

Sorry, maybe I am being cynical but is it not expected of any pilot worth their salt to be able to land without radio altimeters and ILS’s? Maybe I’m old fashioned but I thought that losing all those would be just a pain in the ass day at work with a bunch of snags at the end.

Makes total sense. Why would a tour group want to own half of one of the fastest growing and most successfull tour operators in Canada!?

^ Why not just go to the interview and ask them? Then you'll hear it straight from the horse's mouth, and not from some anonymous internet identity who may or may not know what s/he is talking about.. Simply going for an interview is not a viable option for many. Air Georgian does not cover accomod...

SATC was awesome. I highly recommend it. Good crew when I was there, solid owner and as far as safety goes, they were the safest planes around. Good prices too, definitely worth checking out at least.
