Re: Lynx Air Pilot Pay

All these ULCC pilots should hang their head in shame. Thanks for destroying a career for our kids in aviation because you're to bloody arrogant to sit as an FO in a better paying job. It'll be these pilots that are the death of aviation. Thx again

Re: Lynx wawcon

Why are you guys so quick to defend these rates? Double them (literally!) and then we are getting to the fair compensation range for a 737 pilot. I don’t want to, and have no intention of flying for Lynx, but if a new company comes in with industry leading pay, it only improves things for all of us...

Re: 787 Pilots

I'm not saying it that way, it makes less sense than just a clear readback. Reading it back the way you're supposed to IS the clearest way. No one really cares what you think about who's the "master of the English language" or what you "believe is superfluous" or other such irrelevant nonsense. The...

Re: Grooming Update

Complex, Perhaps some hyperbole and poetic license. But a lot of unhappy FOs who've waited 8+ years for an upgrade to see those left seats go to Swoop for 60 cents on the dollar. But ultimately a company's purpose is to make money. I sometimes get the sense a lot of pilots - especially those who go...

Pilots who accept and work for these wages should hang their heads in shame. I'd be embarrassed to admit to be a pilot for those wages

Lol that's because we can spot you out immediately after any post you make John. You stand out like a sore thumb even after how many handles you used? John, you are self serving and only care about yourself. Anyone with that type of personality deserves nothing. When you actually care about others m...

Re: Norwegian Air

It’s your wishful thinking to work for sub par wages? I did a quick google search and see that an FO starts at 5000 Euro base salary for the wide body and 4000 for the 737. That converts to $7500/6000 CAD per month or $90,000/72,000 per year. After 5 years at Encore what does a year one FO make at ...

Do you think they will ever open up a Canadian base like they have in the US, and hire on the 737/787?

Might be wishful thinking but stranger things have happened........

Re: No more WJ non-stop YEG-LAS

The 10 year passes, if I had chosen to use them, would have costed me about $800 in tax. I have plenty of kids, a Wife with a business, and $2200 in WestJet dollars due to using my RBC card a lot. There is no incentive for me to use the 10 year passes. I’ll just go 50% off confirmed, which by the w...

I guess it doesn’t get any clearer: ”This second quarter loss can be primarily attributed to the impact of the threat of industrial action, which caused tens of millions of dollars in book-aways and cancelations. Given that the booking curve is primarily concentrated between 1 week and 6 months out...

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft

On the same note now that the Swoop positions are being offered to Westjet pilots at Swoop terms and conditions, will no one at Westjet will bid them because it's bringing down the industry and undercutting other 737 operators with bottom feeding wages and anyone there more than a year or two is ma...

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft

True, eyebrow, when the current FOs don’t qualify for the left seat. But at this time this is the way it’s in Canada. Don’t go comparing us to overseas. Otherwise you are just cherry picking. We would be making $$ like they do overseas according to your argument. Hey I see your point. Seniority has ...

Funny, never received any email from our MEC regarding this whatsoever not is there any talk of it on the ALPA forums. If you are just stirring the pot, again, JS , then you should quit being a d*ck.
