Nope, helicopters only at Shearwater, seems strange a City like Halifax has NO options for GA aircraft close to the city.

cheap way to fly into Halifax
I wanted to fly into Halifax in a 172, and it looks like the only option is to go to HFX. Sounds like everyone wants 50 bucks to park overnight. Anyone know of a cheaper way to fly into the area?

What's required to get into this program where you can do your own work on a certificated aircraft?
Is it like re-certifying it as an experimental?
Do 172's, cherokee's qualify?

Re: My sweet First Post
"go be an engineer and buy your plane" Don't worry about not making a lot of money as an engineer when you start out, my first job out of college paid only $11/hr. I make 90K now, don't have to work very hard for it either. Stick with the engineering, you can also use the TN visa program to get jobs...

Re: Interested in Bush Flying...Need Advice.
What about survey flying jobs and such where it may be possible to fly AND participate in the operations?

I wonder what advantage one would have if they had a degree (BSc Science), AND a commercial IFR, for getting King Air or other jobs of that type?

get a good personal computer sim and fly IFR with it till you can do it in your sleep, that'll go a long way towards keeping your scan sharp and knowing procedure off by heart

Re: Float Pilots Needed - 500 Hrs + on Water
Isn't it just a job in the end, like any other job, you get sick of it?
Thought a lot about flying for a living, even quitting a job I do now that I went to university for, in the end I'd just rather go rent a plane and fly for fun.
I am addicted to flying in IMC though......
