I consider it to be very important. I would love to work and live in nelson. Although I am just a apprentice who loves skiing, biking etc. I am sure there must be some older experienced guys willing to accept that wage in exchange for living in paradise. Just tell them they get pow days off. Haha

Transwest operates under federal jurisdiction not provincial. Therefore they can pay whatever the hell they want. Doesn't make low wages right, but that is the way is it. For the record though, apprentice engineers did receive a decent raise recently. Although senior engineers wages stayed the same....
