CAP GEN

Where would one find a free (and current) CAP GEN online? Seems NavCanada only provides one if you purchase a CAP or provide your personal information.

Re: 737 max

I’m surprised at how quick many Pilots (here on this forum and elsewhere) are to blame the crew in the Ethiopian crash. Many are hypothesizing that they didn’t shut off the stab control switches and seem to think they could have had a different outcome. It would appear from radar data that this flig...

Re: Good, bad and just plain silly news for 2012

Take a look at Comair down south - the once giant regional providing feed for Delta. They will have removed 49 aircraft from service between this year and last year, and their total fleet will be down to a mere 44 aircraft. Insert WJ Regional, and Sky Regional in place of names like Compass, ASA, Sk...

I've noticed the site is consistently slower than it was in the past. I thought it was just me. -Took me about 15 seconds to load this thread alone.

Re: Job advice for 1000hr+ flight instructor

I couldn't find a M-Eng gig anywhere in the country after 1500 hrs Total and almost 3 years instructing in a 172 with a bare-ass ATPL and MIFR back in 2002/2003 when the industry was at a stand-still. I fired out lots of resumes and followed up with calls, but no bites.... So, I loaded up the car an...

Re: Hotel to stay at for interview

You'll need to take a shuttle - there is nothing really within walking distance.
Try the Hotel Indigo or Quality Suites at Carlingview/Dixon. They might have a shuttle service up to CAE. 10-15 miute drive depending on traffic.
Good Luck.

No "passes" for 6 months...but you will be able to use your jumpseat agreements with other airlines through ALPA right away. (WJ, Porter etc.)

Re: Ottawa to end strike

Raitt did the same thing when Jazz pilots were all set for a legal strike position. Difficult to negotiate with one arm tied behind your back, courtesy of your Conservative elected officials. This back to work legislation talk could be seen coming from miles away. The party will continue with this i...
