Re: Jet stream down
I don’t read in there ‘weather ruled out’ ... My information is that at 6:30, in the town, there was wet snow falling with very large flakes. That is odd at -15, other than with an inversion….. IMO it might be worth checking out what are ‘low level inversion eddies’ … (ie saw somewhere NVU Lyndon C...

Funny thing is for shits and gigs when Swoop first came out and had a recruiting link on their website I put my name in the hat with more than ample captain/TT time on jets, etc and didn't even get a call or email...Good Karma I guess lol

Re: Do people aspire to be corporate pilots?
Never set out to be either, I liked flying up north the freedom to be my own boss so to speak and it was always something different. When I started at a small scheduled carrier I was bored as hell, same thing everyday. I didn't know it then, but airlines weren't for me. I perhaps like many young pi...

Of course my questions were ignored probably due to the fact he's like every other corp pilot, thinks he's bobby big wheel and doesn't have time for a young aspiring corp pilot. Hmm, so based on this statement, now that you have become a corporate pilot you're no better than the person you're criti...

Re: Do people aspire to be corporate pilots?
To the original question do pilots aspire to become corporate pilots? Yes they do. I, from a very young age grew up in a small town with large industry. I cut grass, swept hangar floors, and watched big corporate jets fly in with the big wigs. After the big wigs left to head to their meetings I watch...

Re: Encore - Not Worth It
I can tell you that WJ pilots were very upset with the work conditions offered to Encore people when the airline started. We warned management that they would not get the people they needed to operate those Q400's if they were going to pay such low wages and poor conditions. We were right. Encore s...

Re: Wind turbines around airports
Not familiar with Collingwood but Chatham is another place being hammered with windmills. More going up day after day within the centreline and downwind of the airport. Its absolutely ridiculous. They have numerous ifr operators on the field that are one of those corporations that when they get out ...

Re: TSA fingerprint agencies
I know some Flight Safety campuses have an approved finger print person on site. As long as you get them done and approved by TSA before you start in the sim you're good to go. Although if you don't get approved you (or your employer) have wasted a butt load of money.

Re: Discovery air fire services
So there you go, if anyone else is in my shoes and is curious how strict the 100 multi-PIC requirement is, there is possibly some wiggle room I know for a fact that "wiggle room" to the MNR is having 98 hrs MPIC at start of employment. MIFR is 500 MPIC which they will only budge 10hrs on this case ...

Re: Mazza FIRED. Orgne in receivership
Well actually CHL isn't getting any sort of extension, Ornge has decided to continue with the base transitions and take all of the rotor operations in house. There will be no tender on this, it'll stay In Ornge and continue to do so. Another question comes up then, should operators make a profit fr...
