Re: AME shortage?

I just heard an ad on the radio for auto mechanics at a major dealership. Licensed start at $35/hr. Meh. Depends on where, the wages I’ve seen have a huge margin across the board. I also saw an add for a multi endorsed M1/M2 AME for a helicopter operator this spring for $200/day…. 200/12 16.66/hr h...

Got the jab, then got the covid. It's a f@#$n flu, but lasted 5 days vs a normal 2-3 the whole house went down with it, little bastards India's were over it in 2-3 days. I also know several who passed of covid, however you won't hear about there comorbidities.

Re: Unruly Passengers . . . and the Industry's Response?

Well my last flight was yow -bos it took from 0430-2200 if I was able to drive across I would have. I spent most of that day in one line-up of another. It was an absolute shitshow. I actually prefer driving 7 hours to work than flying commercial

Re: Would you leave your flying job if the vaccine becomes officially mandatory?

That and the new CDC numbers are out. Covid hospital entries were 78% obese, and something like 95% of mortalities were of the same ilk. Add that to the age component, and most of you are.worried about nothing. 3 days of alternate cold sweats, and cooking , prolonged headache, body aches, a little l...

Re: Would you leave your flying job if the vaccine becomes officially mandatory?

I actually left my last company because they mandated vaccinations. Though I ended up getting vaxx'd, if company couldn't understand my freedom of choice. I won't go through the whole thing but" I don't f'n care what you think, your costing me money" I wasn't but that is secondary. I found...

Re: Canada to mandate vaccination for all airline workers

I can see the violation of some charter for employees ,but as far as passengers go...travel is a privilege not a right. I'm sure there will be some way around that for those who can't be vaccinated (children) just like for the "mandatory" vaccines to attend school. No it is a right 6. (1)...

Re: Canada to mandate vaccination for all airline workers

Operating a vehicle is my right, how dare anyone say I have to have a document ( licence ) that allows me to do so!!!!!!!! Actually it isn't. And under our shitty excuse for a charter, all your other rights fall under the reasonable exception(article 1) The Politico's are the ones that decide what ...

I won't say where I am right now, but it is the end of the road. The Kid at the FBO/Fueller is looking at finishing his license. He asked me my thoughts, I went over and had a coffee/bs session with an old crony(CP), and the kid(30 is a kid to me). Response "finish your license, send in your re...

Boeing Standard is 1/2 the constant and all the gust up to 15 kts. I flew an approach in NL where we alternated between Vy and VFE 40 kt swings, it was wild.

if you run an IPAD and foreflight, they will add your w+b to it, with the plus being you can send to there server for savings(just need TC's sign off) have a GW/arm on your paperwork, and the rest saved for audit when in cell signal

The MT's we had had cracks on the trailing edges, cold winter on the coast caused cracking on the trailing edges. long story short all blades overhauled to the tune of 22K USD. I wouldn't put MT's on anything I own. They also don't shed Ice for Shineola
