Re: ACPA approves Business Class at rouge
I'm not sure what you hope to gain by initiating this discussion on an open public form, but it's public knowledge anyway so whatever turns your crank. If you look in the LOU for ACr in our CA you will see that it is clearly defined that rouge 319's and 767's are allowed to be configured in economy ...

Re: Sky Regional Contracting out work
AC has provided many other services to SKY in order to incept and sustain the 175 operation so this should come as no surprise. SKY is a shell company. Likely the precursor to the termination of the Q400 YTZ operation and a possible transfer of the 5 SKY Q400's to Jazz. I do not see AC dispatch in ...

Re: WestJet pilots vote in favour of a new five-year deal
Congratulations to my fellow pilots at WestJet. Although I work for the competition, I am happy to see you reach an agreement that a majority of you clearly support. Great voter turn out too by the way. I am hopeful that this will provide you with the stability and security you deserve. I'm not enti...

Re: 10 year agreement with pilots
Fair enough, That said, the contents of this TA are currently an internal discussion for ACPA members. There is no internal value in a voting member with access to our private forum posting the details in an external fashion such as this. Either way it's not of huge significance just puzzling from a...

Interesting,
How would he find himself in possession of such information, and who would provide it to him. Either way disappointing, have fun guys.

Re: 10 year agreement with pilots
I would suggest that people on this forum who are privy to contract details to keep this information to yourself! Nothing has been ratified, and it's nobody's business outside of ACPA until the vote. Why do people continue up to spread our business on this forum the moment it becomes available?? +1...

Re: Fed Ct Overturns Tribunal Dismissal of Age 60 Complaints
Another way to look at it is thus: for years, the career salary income expectations of junior pilots were artificially inflated upwards strictly by reason of age discrimination. Removing age discrimination put them back to where they would have been, without age discrimination. Raymond, I am a litt...

Re: Fed Ct Overturns Tribunal Dismissal of Age 60 Complaints
YOU are correct when you say, "Retiring is a part of life." And only the pilot, should decide when she/he is ready, they have a choice, now, and it is a good thing for everyone. 777, I believe at this point we have all heard the argument that this is about rights, and choice. Currently we have pilo...

Re: Attn: Ice Pilots fans...Arnie passed away:(
Arnie was a prince of a man first and formost, and as others have said "one hell of a pilot". Always willing to pass on his knowledge, and easy to learn from. We have lost a true legend of Canadian aviagtion, and a man who flew for the love of it. We are blessed to have flown with him, and I will ch...

Re: Legendary pilot dies
Kristin, I had the pleasure of meeting your dad in and north of Yellowknife during the mid to late 90's. He used to always call up on 126.7, and would predictable ask is his unmistakable voice "you guys got time for .75?" We would inevitably stwitch frequencies and shoot the breeze for a while while...

Reading this thread brings back a lot of great memories. Ya there were some tough times, and a few times I would have done anything to be somewhere else. That said I wouldn't trade a second of it for more time on the big stuff I fly now. Those of you heading out looking for, and getting work this se...

Re: Mandatory Retirement Repeal Passes 2nd Reading in Parlia
Daniel, you seem to be a little late to the discussion. You are way behind the power curve in this debate. The fact is, FlyPast60 is about to become a reality. The Government of Canada says so. What we have to do is find a way to implement the NWO for the betterment of all and not get hosed by AC a...

Re: who got there start in CYFS over the years
I wasn't based in FS, but I used to operate the DC3 sked over there three times a week from ZF in the late 90's. I knew a few of the guys with Wolverine and Simpson Air. Good times.

Re: Thomas Cook and Westjet Rumor?
They were fine with it last year and I'm sure they'll be fine with it this year. Thats odd. I have a couple friends flying at WJ who were decidedly NOT fine with it last year..... Several of the people I know there were also NOT fine with it last year. They were also very concerned that it could po...

I totally agree with the previous poster. Don't let the opinions of a handful distract you from your goal. Are there issues at AC? Absolutley, show me an airline without them. Different company different issues. Some will get resolved some won't. If I were back in the bush looking for that airline j...

Re: Next Groundschool Dates?
Everyone, There's a course planned for the first half of January, and to my knowledge it is not full yet. There's more to come. As to the timeline for call backs or course dates, it is difficult to nail down. My advice, enjoy Christmas and New Years. If you do get the call for Jan or later, you will...
