Re: Cheapest float rating school in Southern Ontario/Vancouv

I did my floats in sarnia onatrio on their 172. price was right, and the instructor has a few thousand hours on floats. plus there are lots of great little islands to go beach at and do the bikini patrol.

Re: IPAD

for the past few months while flying in the states weve been using US charts on the IPAD. seems to work great. recently my buddy bought the bluetooth GPS unit for the IPAD and thats just to cool. shows you where you are on the chart, pretty much turns your ipad into a moving map.

Re: Medevac OR Medevac??

Seen it tonight in YXU. so called "medevac" requests vectors for 15, getting priority over everyone coming in for 33. yet we all watched that crew sit on the ground for 15 minutes waiting for their passengers to arrive.

and that folks is what grinds my gears

Re: Class 4 instructor Flight test tips?

DONT be afraid to ask the examiner - are you the student or the examiner? as sometimes it will get confusing cause its all role playing. have fun with it. but if he or she asks you a question that could be coming from a student seeking answers, or the examiner just testing you dont be afraid to ask....

like said above, i believe you need 35 hours solo and 30 hours dual after your PPL for the CPL. and a total of 200 hours. so regardless if you time build now or later, your going to have to do it sometime. so have funn

Re: Factors that affect Engine Life

also keep in mind. a engine with high time will have a heavier insurance bill then one with lower time. Thats just something i have noticed over the years with my bill. Also the more hours you personally put on the airplane the cheaper the insurance will be. so really one evens out the other. so lik...

Re: Class 3+ Instructor for PA28-140/151 @CYTZ

just watch when your buying because you cant spin the PA-28 warrior. I do no you can spin the Cherokee 140 so just keep that in ...
