Re: The Taxi Time Poll
You have to be kidding. No flying equals no flying time. Who is o desperate to log a run up, or any other taxi time? In that case you should log the trip to the airport.

Re: Any AC guys thinking of making the switch?
Poor form man. AC is in financial problems is nothing new. The idea that anyone who works in this industry wants to see anyone else out of work saddens me. They will be fine, restructuring and a little more time and it will be as it was before. The national carrier is not going anywhere.

Re: WestJet Regional - WestJet Encore
Hey Darkwing. I hear it is a contract year for lunch ladies at your flying college. Take a bit of time and consider that it means as much to a guy working day to day at an airline as it does any of the other of the many contract negotiations out there. I think you may want to take a break from posti...

Back in the air? I just checked FlightAware and none of their aircraft have flown in over 100 days. Unless they have bought a whole new fleet.

Actually, the call sign isn't really reqired. The shortest method would be " I am at this height and i am here" After all who will really care what your ident is if you are going to be in conflict. Perhaps you could step out of the world of the float plane for a bit and realize that most don't reall...

Although I have no love for JM's style of "Aw Shucks, please Guys?" form of manipulation, I think that there is a bit more here than may be initially evident. Gramps. You know I respect your opinion so I will let time be the judge on this one. For those that care, I have flown for CGAA and with GW a...

As an ex CGAA employee ( I left for a better job, no bond issue) I can tell you that the company is run by an ex medevac pilot and they know that, on the whole, pilots are a pretty decent bunch. We will even bend the rules when the term "medevac" is used. It isn't until we look at our decisions in h...

I have always used 2x alt + 10nm it keeps you calculating every 10000ft and you are always in the loop. for you low level cargo guys. descent planning has a bit to do wit...
