Actually, Air Ontario was the 1st. a f a I k, to operate a Dh-8 in a cargo config. We developed a cargo coversion kit for it, but that operation didn't last too long.

I flew with Ray as his f/o at my 1st. flying job on a CV 440 back in the early 70's. He was a fun guy to be around and you could not help but like him.

I think it was her choice not to upgrade earlier, but I stand corrected. Lovely lady, let me use the jumpseat once on the A319.

Day 2 is Seniority, Base & Equip. draw, followed later in the afternoon by the ALPA indoc. and dinner...at least it was when I was there. Things might have changed.

When you get to the Sim stage of your training do not be afraid to say you do not understand something, or you do not feel ready. The company does not want you to fail and will give you the extra [within reason] training so as to be successful on your ride.

All I have to say is, "Wow."
I'll bet you if it was AC they were going to...no problem.
If the base placement is a problem at Jazz then go work for Encore.

Re: New hire bids
"Also for those who are ALPA members, how does that work?"
Not sure what you mean by that statement. Everything is governed by DoH seniority, unless you are coming from another ALPA carrier then your DoH [for ALPA seniority purposes] at Jazz is the date you joined your original company.
