I believe you're thinking of Swoop. Flair pilots improved their situation substantially.Alcoholism wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 10:33 pm Thank you Flair scabs for lowering the industry, apply here to be one.

Re: WestJet pilots to fly Swoop aircraft
Flair Airlines welcomes any pilots displaced by the recent news.. we should have another Training class in the Fall.. please watch our website or AvCanada for our postings when we do! According to friends at Flair the pilots however will not welcome you. The majority of Flair pilots support the ALP...

Re: Navajo lands on the street in yyc
Although, it's not impossible that someone took a quick look (at any time after that landing) just to check how dry, and not necessarily a pilot. There's another photo from the Herald that shows the TSB opening up the cap. The chances of 2 independent systems failing at the exact time are very slim...

Re: Navajo lands on the street in yyc
I cannot tell from the pictures. Are the fuel caps all on? That could explain a big fuel loss Not that they could not have been put on afterwards... There is a picture in one of the news articles with the TSB taking a photo of the gas cap and filler opening. The tab on the cap was up so it's a poss...

Re: Navajo lands on the street in yyc
Agree, it's a definitely a possibililty ("mere speculation") that ample supply remains in there, s o m e w h e r e . You must keep the faith that the experts in T.C. and the TSB will find it if it is there, remember it is only a few days since it happened and there are so many places that fuel coul...

Re: Navajo lands on the street in yyc
I’ve never flown a Navajo so I have no experience with it. How reliable/accurate are the fuel gauges? Accurate enough. Loss of fuel pressure due to fuel starvation looks awfully like a fuel pump failure. Forgot to transfer back to the main tanks? Misidentified emptying the aux tanks as a fuel pump ...

Re: Are paid training opportunities worth it?
Hello everyone, I just finished my CPL and am looking for job. After looking around, it seems there are not many good jobs for new pilot. Either you have to work as a ramp slave or pay for instructor rating. Recently, my friend told me about this program called "Pay to fly". Basically, the idea is ...

Any truth to the rumour that pilots hired OTS are being offered 2 years salary for their troubles if the Swoop thing doesn't doesn't fly due to the outstanding ULP?

Lack of crews and airplanes and poor management from what I heard. Timed with Flairs union vote?
Heard through a friend they had over 75% sign union cards.

Sorry but I can't stop laughing so hard I puke reading comments by some of these couch driving owners/ managers. Some of you really think you have it figured out. Management and owners should go broke so you stay employed. Heaven forbid some $hit disturber with seniority gets laid off before someon...

Reading through the Carson thread about (in)experience and upgrades, I couldn't help my thoughts drift over to Encore and the upgrades happening over there. I have more examples that make me pause just a little, but I'll share a couple: I know of one driver over there, thousands of hours of instruc...
