Re: A220 deice
The holdover times are wing material specific. A composite wing seems to have different holdover times then an aluminum wing.

Re: Cargojet fires some AC furloughs
Wouldn't be surprised if this is retribution for them joining ALPA. Fire AC guys that were likely going to leave anyways and send a message to the rest of the pilots.

Re: Project Reroute
MM wouldn't have looked so bad if he had actually taken some time to prepare for the call, but he couldn't even be bothered to show up on time. Now, instead of using it as a learning experience for acpa they have pressured the group to basically shut down. Stifle debate, censure dissenting opinion, ...

Re: NEM election
If you're happy with the status quo Ken is your guy. He is very supportive of the permanent WAWCON reduction brought to us in the Cargo LOU. He's also supportive of the current deal. A deal brought to us by MEC that for months said we weren't negotiating. A deal that holds hostage almost 200 jobs (e...

Re: Cargo TA
I'm not familiar with the details of this TA, but it seems like it's a concession in order to diversify flying? My question is, how long is the agreement good for? In a couple years tops the industry will be back to normal growth, but will pilots still be laboring under the terms of this TA, made i...

Re: Cargo TA
That's exactly what it suggests Rudder and it's one of my largest concerns about this steaming pile. In my mind there's a real risk of eventually shuttling over 777 jobs at a 10% discount in the future. That impacts my dollars today, but also in retirement, where my pension is solely based on career...

Re: Cargo TA
Just found out that all three members of Pilots for Change that won successfully in the last election, supported this cargo LOU. No transparency, no backbone, just follow in line. Their new logo .......“Pilots looking for $ change” You’re welcome. TS What are you talking about? None of the members ...

twa22 Actually, I wasn’t thinking about your post specifically. But, I do agree with what you’re saying. We know passenger cabins are extremely safe due to the AC/Press Systems. In fact, there are only 44 confirmed COVID cases among 1 point something million passengers carried worldwide since this ...

Re: Air Canada and Transat announce Updated Purchase Price at $5 per share
We got a memo from the union about it; and all domestic flights suddenly showed 0 pax in our system although they were showing 75% full. No more info. Hence my question? Is there any provision in the CBA pertaining to transat passengers flown on transat metal? Welcome to Air Canada. You'll quickly ...

Yes, but it's a flat bid. They are reducing the mainline bus while adding the Rouge spots. There is no increase in available seats, so everyone identified as surplus/furlough stay there.

Ray, I respect what you did then and thank your for your service. There were and still are some people within the halls that are doing or trying to do some good work. Unfortunately the ACPA you knew is no longer the ACPA apparently serving the members. It has grown into an incredibly siloed organiza...

It's not that Bombardier is receiving anything, it's that the airframes are still being built in Quebec.

All the more reason to force an election and turf the current disgrace that is our leader and controlling party. I don't see a point. JT has bought so many votes I doubt he'd be unseated. If you made at least 5k last year you're potentially eligible for 2k a month from CERB. Who wouldn't vote for m...

Does every thread have to turn into a pissing match between you two? It's pretty clear you are both so far dug in that nothing will change your minds.
There's a PM function, try it and stop using every thread to argue with each other.
