The inside and seats all should be replaced on the 7F's 42's. They get beat up a lot because of the ongoing recons. However the 72 has much better seats.

Re: Using a RAIC to Expedite Security Lines
Thanks for the replies. I have asked TSA agents and they have allowed me to use the aircrew line when travelling on business or personal travel. This was in Houston, has anybody else tried this in any other US airport, or can show a link where this is written on the TSA website?

Using a RAIC to Expedite Security Lines
Would anybody know where to find any documentation that allows aircrew who is a current holder of a RAIC pass to use the crew/nexus line when they are not operating crew. I don't want people to understand this the wrong way. I am not saying a RAIC pass holder is by-passing security when they are tra...

Re: Canada looking at building military bases in Arctic
Just to point out a few things, that a few people got wrong including the article. Resolute Bay can handle C-17's because it has been going in there on a weekly basis getting ready for operation Nanook. Nanisivik is now closed, and the road is closed going to it. However judging from the condition o...

Thunderstorms are always different, some you need to be very far away others not so much. Most thunderstorms they can be only a few miles off the wing and you wont even feel a bump. I guess its all about reading the clouds.

Re: First Air - reduces Edmonton flights, adds YVQ
If Westjet does decide to fly to YFB they are going to have to go in the afternoon. Anyone who has been there knows that the terminal is at capacity between 1200-1400 and no room for anyone else. The terminal capacity if my memory is correct is only 225 I believe. If you walk through the front door...

Re: First Air - reduces Edmonton flights, adds YVQ
johnkruk, I dont think the people of the north are that thrilled AC is up in YFB, nor the thought of WJ coming. AC loads have been something to laugh about, nor were they that welcomed by the people when they showed up. I think for the most part the people realize that these airlines are coming to t...

Re: Canadian North and Air Canada co-ordinate Arctic schedules
How do I figure? Well right now Westjet and Air Canada have hurt Canadian North and First Air since they have been running from Edmonton to Yellowknife, infact Canadian even reduced there scheds to Yellowknife. The exact same thing will happen to Canadian on the Iqaluit run. Air Canada is under cutt...

Thats one thing im surprised they didnt mention, the flaps. During the stick pusher the FO selected flaps to "0" and it wasent called for. The airplane then rolled over and it was too late. They probably mention it on the TSB's full report.

So this has worked? Even though you are not operating a flight, and you are using the reciprocal jumpseat agreement and in uniform they dont question the carry on baggage?

Just a question for anybody that uses there recipriocal jumpseat agreement. With the new security measuers in place by TSA, has anybody recently encountered difficulty? More specifically with carry on baggage, I would assume operating crews flying to the US are still allowed to bring there carry on,...

Re: Air Canada expands its network north to Iqaluit
I know its all a business in the end, but the residents of the north might want to think of the northern airlines that employ all there friends, and family memebers before they support an airline that is only coming to the north to get in a pissing match with westjet. It started in YZF and its gona ...

I cant wait to see how they plan to deice there aircraft. Only have Canadian and First Air, and First Air is the only one with Type 4. I doubt there gona sell there services, or Air Canada maintenance in -40 below with wind, and no hangar. Hmmm.

Most CVRs are now digital, so the 30min rule no longer applies to some. For example the Colgan Q400 CVR into Buffalo showed there entire conversation from the gate or close to I believe.

If your having such a problem like most people are on Canadian North, then maybe you should travel on First Air. I know the prices are very comparable, and the inflight service is very similar as well, but if a First Air flight is cancelled due to mechanical, they normally have another airplane to p...
