Re: Jazz to launch pay for type rating program

Pay to fly is already big in other parts of the world. Jazz has now lowered the bar to that level. They've realized you don't need to lose money when you can make money off of new hires. This WILL become the new norm unless people make some noise about it. It's a race to the bottom. I think Jazz is...

Re: The Ol' PFO

Yes post secondary aviation diploma. Total time 3500hrs. English only. It is totally a mystery and I don't take it personally. I know my worth. I don't feel dumber or smarter than a current AC pilot. It is 99% timing. Got the PFO a few days ago. College Diploma. 1000 hrs RJ PIC. Clean flight tests ...

Of course if the CBC is posting it, its already ACs fault.

Re: Air Canada passenger wakes up to find herself 'forgotten' in empty plane

Air Canada has confirmed the story themselves. AC has not confirmed the incident took place. Media outlets are not reporting the same thing, some say that AC isnt confirming it, others say they are. I reckon reporters are confusing the "confirmation" with AC saying "yes we heard the story, now were...

Re: Air Canada passenger wakes up to find herself 'forgotten' in empty plane

I'd say at least 2 parties made an obvious mistake: the FA and the groomers. Regarding the checks: I'm not blaming the pilots or AMEs, but -going out on a limb here as I don't know the specific procedures at AC-, aren't the FAs generally responsible to preflight check the cabin and emerency exits? ...

This is pathetic. Everyone wants their fifteen minutes of fame. Re: Who will bid the A220?

I'm not saying the 737 is going. (I'm not saying it isn't either though) At least if a fella bid the A220 they would be flying instead of sitting at home watching TV. I wonder if there will be any litigation from this? 25 airplanes grounded for months because of a design fault is not cheap on the o...
