Re: Wasaya caravan missing

Unbelievable! The guy just blatantly says its not the time to give our 20/20 hindsight "what I would have done" and you acknowledge that, then go on to tell him what you would have done. Maybe he did have the thing fire walled, nobody knows anything at this point. Implying that this poor young man ...

Re: Wasaya caravan missing

Sorry to hear this. My condolences to everyone affected. You guys are so right, we should really abolish the Caravan and go back to a better time when there were only Beavers, Norsemen, Navajos to get the job done. Back then there were no accidents. Unless there's a book called King Air 200, The Sw...

Re: Wasaya caravan missing

I see a lot of comments about him being green or new. FWIW this wasn't his first winter in the North. I believe he had been flying in YQT (on the PC-12) since the summer of 2010.

Re: ORNGE. Question

I was flying around YQT a few month back. I heard pulse call centre when they leveled off, centre asked to confirm if they were 'medevac' or not and the response went something like 'nope we aren't, sorry just used to saying it'

I'm waiting to hear 'Pulse trainer 1 medevac' Lol

Re: Co-pilot time for ATPL

I dont see whats wrong with counting co-joe time as 1 for 1. You mean to tell me if I fly all 1500 hours in a 150 Ill be more qualified then someone who has 750 hours and 750 right seat in a PC-12?

Re: Buttonville Closure Party

The same way the airport is important to you and your livelihood, i t's equally bothersome to the livelihood of the residents . The truth is, the owners and pilots have been dicks moreso than anyone else so this is a fitting end. I'll bring the chips and popcorn. Who's in? They are the ones who bou...

It s not just about logging time, you can be creative about counting time towards currency as well. I was worried about having my 5 night landings in 6 Months but then I remembered the couple of times I greased her on from seat 23D on the old Airbus and so "I'm good to go" right ? :smt040 Regardles...

Re: AVIATION CROSSROADS (Seneca vs Centennial)

Not trying to flame seneca, I have a few good friends/co-workers that trained there. I know I can't paint everyone with the same brush so I won't. When I worked the ramp at ykz, I remember quite a few cpl students that seemed to think they were king of the skies and would give me the "your a rampie ...

x2.. You learn Slow flight to recognize the symptoms and prevent the stall, you learn stall recovery incase you didnt realize you were in slow flight and to prevent a possible spin, you learn spin recovery incase you missed all the other warnings.
