Re: F35 critique

+1 it seems that most of the countries involved are putting orders on hold, etc... how do you get this far in a project that was so obviously wrong from the outset? Problems i've heard other than the ones mentioned in this video: - Our tankers aren't compatible with this plane (seems that all extra ...

Re: selfserve fuelpumps

yep i fly in southern QC and the fuel at CYCC is cheap enough to offset any costs of flying there from anywhere around the montreal area. plus it's 24 hours.

Re: Gov't announces JSF purchase

i've met one fighter pilot and he's had an engine failure in the CF18. with a single engined plane he'd have been forced to scrap it. as it is he flew it roughly 100 miles on the other one and landed safely. This isn't necessarily sound statistics. I agree with the above post that if anyone's going ...

Re: ATPL Programs..do schools really mean anything on paper?

very good question... i am also from montreal and was also accepted into that MFC program. Are you going out there? Although i was really impressed by the school, i decided that it wasn't worth it (i have my PPL already and it seems like it's a better deal if you start from scratch with them), but i...

Re: Full-Time Pilot Career

I recently looked at this very problem. I got my PPL in january and was deciding whether or not to go to moncton flight college, where they do an 'integrated atpl' program. at first it seemed very attractive- just get the training for the atpl now, and rack up 1500 hours over the next 5 years, and b...
