Re: Wasaya Pay for Caravan Capt.

$45k a year in YPL goes pretty far when you live in a staffhouse and receive your meals for free. Travel in and out of YPL provided by the company and a two week on two week off rotation.
I'd Take that over $48k in Calgary any day!!

Re: Air North

With very little turnover there I am wondering the pay scale. The job add says " as per current Pilot Agreement". Are you expected to live in Whitehorse or is there a rotation for the hs74 posting?

Re: Frequency changes in Northwest Ontario

I agree with Clguy on this one. I have been saying the same thing for years. I have brought it up to transport on several ocassions too. 2 of the airports in question here are only 24 miles apart. They are both also right on route for some other places around, so it is not a safe environment to have...

Re: Dryden Airshow Ths weekend!

Great weather. a little on the cool side. Great airshow for a small town. Loved the A-10. Volunteers were awsome. Buses ran smooth. All in all a great time hope today is just as good. Thank you Dryden and all the volunteers. p.s. The Snowbirds did a good job of promoting Con College. 3 of the team w...

Re: layoffs at Wasaya???

Hey 2r! If you know RW well enough to spread "unofficial" rumours about him I am sure you know him well enough to have talked to him about it. Your rumour has potenial to affect his current employment given ther right conditions.
What severance do you think the boys at wasaya would ever see?

Re: loading a caravan

I was wondering if the loading you are describing is with or without a front bulkhead? Some freight companies have the forward bulkhead ( 9g's i believe) and load it on a slope towards the back finishing off with a net if need be.

Is the 748 king of the sky's?

MAG1 I was in the air that day as well and heard the same exchange. There was a position report right after the aircraft was airborne on 26.7. When they cleared the zone another call was made on 22.8 out of respect for the old time float guys not using 26.7 as the en route freq. Your call was answer...

I was just wondering; You said that if you don't break the rules you go out of business. When are you going to go out of business? I don't think you thought this through. If you get on T.V. and tell the world that air taxi operaters are unsafe and then tell everyone that you are an air taxi operator...

mass excodus at new spirit in the sky

9000$ a month a common paycheck on the van in YRL? $108,000 a year? Why did you ever leave? That is more than most of the Hawker captains make.

wow

I think if this guy wants anyone with that time to consider his company he could at least use spellcheck. I wonder why anyone with those qualifications would work there? Doubt the pay would compare to other things you could do. It isn't hard to figure out where this hidden little company is.

Wasaya What?

Ninjacrumb. It doesn't really matter where i work. I'm happy! I chose the job I have right now so I will live with whatever happens there. Everyone flying the 1900's chose to do it as well, so I think they should just keep quiet about their poor pay or go to one of the other companies mentioned in t...

Wasaya What?

You are right about the top pay being on 801, however, I talked to one of the F.O.'s on a hawker and he told me that he made 70,000 + last t4 and will probablly be closer to 80 this year. I would like that right seat job. He told me that you have to work hard, and be available for some O/T if possib...

Wasaya What?

I'm not to sure about the info on this post, but I can give some of my own that is correct. 1900 guys are paid well. About 60.00 per hour. It is their choice to stay on that machine. It is hard to break minimums ,therefore the pay is low. They have opportunity to move to another plane but choose not...
