Yes, you're right. I definitely didn't focus on the whole section. Thanks for pointing that out.

I can't say whether others are open or closed. I just know that schools around here are closed.

Block Time Rental

At the risk of being flamed for not knowing the answer.... lol What part of the CARs covers block time and aircraft rental? I often see block time offered and it's got me thinking about what regulations cover this. Does the person renting/purchasing the block time get added to the owner's insurance ...

Tried cloud ahoy tonight. Seems pretty good but I'm trying to figure out why the altitude shows a negative value.

Re: Flight Tracking App

I've used Clod ahoy since last September ( over 100hrs) and love it. It's only gotten better with updates. It provides way more info then tracking with ForeFlight, doesn't kill your phone battery and let's you analyze every aspect of your flight at home. There is no question in my mind that being a...

I remember seeing a link on here before for a flight tracking app to track my own flights. I can't seem to find it though. Does anybody recommend anything? Has anybody used Cloud Ahoy?

Interesting about the ipads. I've been looking at the refurbished ones. Still have one year warranty and significantly less expensive. Has anybody bought one yet? It seems the refurbishment can be anything from a misplaced button to new hardware.

Re: AC Lining Up with a Taxiway SFO...?

I'm curious about something and will defer this to the experience of the airline pilots (which clearly I am not). If you're asking ATC if you're cleared to land because you see lights on the runway, how long are you waiting before going around without ATC telling you to? Once the controller issues ...

Re: Tourist killed at St. Maarten Jet Blast Hotspot

I've been on that beach with the jets taking off. The wise thing to do if you want to experience it is to stand on the beach. At least that way if you're blown away you're going into the water. Not tripping over a curb and slamming into another curb.
