Could have something to do with RED FLAG going on in the States right now. They had 10 Mirages and a tanker stop over in YWG a few weeks ago enroute to Nellis AFB I believe.

Almost forgot, some of our Newfoundland friends may be able to shed some light on this one....not sure of make/model or circumstances surrounding this occurrence but apparently there are some bones located on the approach into Argentia, NF.... visible in the water at low tide.

I've looked into Athabasca University a few years ago and it looked pretty good for what you want to do. I ended up going another route several years later for various reasons . Make sure you inquire about their credit system as they previously gave credit for your commercial pilot licence...30 cred...
