Re: Class 2 Instructor Ride
Thanks guys for the tips and advice. After many weather cancellations I had my ride yesterday, and passed. It was pretty straight forward and now I'm a class 2.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Re: Air Georgian Hiring Pool
Anyone know how many they are planning on hiring for May? Or what the average ground school size is.
Thanks

Re: ATPL MET
Hi, I wrote the SAMRA in February. The air command weather manual is great for the general side of weather. I had quite a few questions on fog and fronts. The Transport Canada guide on weather is good as well, in addition to the AIM. For the MET practical I used the aerocourse book, which was really...

Re: Am I too old to instruct?
I got 50 hours of twin time by teaching IFR on multi-engine aircraft. These students already have a multi rating, so you can provide dual instruction for the instrument rating and you don't need to have 50 multi hours . Past 50 hours, then the school may consider letting you teach the multi rating a...

Class 2 Instructor Ride
Hi all,
I've just started preparing for my class 2 instructor ride, and was wondering if anyone has any tips or advice. It's been a while since I have done an instructor flight test. I've read the guides from Transport Canada, but was just wondering what experiences others have had.
Thanks

Re: Ground at Wasaya or Transwest?
My only knowledge is of Transwest. I heard today, that the average time spent on the ramp is about 9 months at the moment. I did work there, but that was many moons ago so some things may have changed since my time there. There is no crew housing in LaRonge, PA or Saskatoon. Crew housing is provided...

Re: Job advice for 1000hr+ flight instructor
Hi, From what I've seen at the school I taught at, is that all the instructors that wanted to move on and break out of instructing eventually did. Sometimes it took a while, especially a couple of years ago but eventually they did find something. Some moved on with only 700 hours and others with ove...

Re: Fellow Instructors
Hey Freddy, Last year I was fortunate to be hired on at the school I did my training at. Part time to start and then full time in the summer for the air cadets and full time since then. At the school I work at they do pay a base. It's not a lot but it is nice in the winter when the flying is slower ...
