The only don't is don't stop until you find a job! Keep going and make sure you don't skip meeting people. Be friendly talk to people. Buying a fellow pilot a beer in the evening will buy you loads of useful info

Re: Apprentice Pilot
Oh come on guys, really!? You are judging a company based on the title of their entry level job?? Wasaya has some of the best working conditions for a young lad looking to gain some experience. I was once that Apprentice Pilot. Got to an airplane within 3 months and flew over 250 hours in the summer...

edited out the insults. You can probably get your point across more effectively without the strong wording For the respect for our fellow aviators please, let's not write our thoughts and opinions. Wait for the facts, for now lets extend our hope for the pilot! I hope he is okay

Re: Pathways to an FO job
There is a lot more to being an F/O than actually flying an airplane. You of course are expected to have a certain skill level on your hands and feet, however depending on the company you end up in, you might have a whole lot more to deal with than flying. Without working on the ground (ramp/dispatc...

Atlantic CHarters Recent Info
Hello,
Just curious who knows anything about these guys. There has been so many posts recently for drivers there? Are they having a hard time keeping people? Just curious what the pay/sched is like there. PMs are okay too.
Thanks
GS

Re: Road trip job hunt,ATP
I'm nowhere near your time but I can say from my road trip experience is most places welcome you and give you at least a few minutes of time. If you don't score a job on the trip you will get your resume noticed. Treat it as a pre interview. I am out in NWO you're welcome to drop by for a beer half ...

I am pretty happy. First job. Up north, great pay, benefits and great people. Some days get tough with small bs but overall very happy. Just would be nice to be closer to family or have a rotation.

Re: Low-timer Road Trip
Did my road trip in February, had a few offers and now close to 400TT and love the company I work for. I was worried about the same thing when I did my trip but everyone has been very accommodating. Do the trip and you won't regret it.

Google dropping a package from 65000 feet over YPL
Tried to search the internet for a bit with no luck. The other day was flying by CYPL and heard Winnipeg Radio on 126.70 make a call that there is package being dropped from 65000 feet, with a white parachute, white strobe lights and weighing 90KG. So curiosity sparked me and I asked Thunder Bay Rad...

McCain Foods looking for a chief pilot! Halifax
Hey guys, saw a posting for a chief pilot for McCain Foods in Halifax. The posting is up on LinkedIn and I'm at work so cannot get the proper link to post here. I am sure it's on their website as well.

Re: Learning to read CAP, CFS, and aircraft performance grap
I would go to a flight school, find a flight instructor or experienced pilot tutor who can show you the proper way. It's not a free way, but at least you are taking precautions on getting misleading information.
