JustaCanadian wrote: Thu Jan 18, 2024 9:01 pm The real question is, can I take advantage and do 62.5/h and 120 MMG.

Trying to build that logbook, and I would work for free if I could get more hours!
But can you log PICUS ? so you can write the As in a year or two and get the ATPL ?

Yes, it's possible. There is a guy here Keith Mello.
If you hire him as a consultant, he'll walk you through it.

Re: Is WestJet an essential service, where the government can mandate striking pilots back to work?

WestJet pilots are professionals. There won't be blocking of bridges or roads, or acting like angry protesters. Its no value to trash the profession by wearing costumes or shouting at people. Pilots won't be harassing passengers or catsa workers or other airline crews, most are already supporting. ...

ok thanks for the info. As for a seniority list merger; I'm under the impression the 2 companies would not merge the lists nor fly each others aircraft). If they do merge, doesn't that take years to do and then years more to get appealed / disputed ? honest questions, not trying to stir the pot. A 2...

it BETTER be about the shareholders ! Call up all the management of the equities in your TFSA and RRSP and tell them you want less returns on your investments. You're just a greedy 1%er. Airbus single pilot operations certification

This week Airbus released an image of an A350 test aircraft with cameras for automated pilot operations and/or possible single-pilot certification testing. This is why we should all start being concerned. They call it computer vision-based algorithms to advance landing and taxi assistance. From Airb...

26.94 x 75 (Monthly Guarantee) x 12 months a year = $24,246/yr Alberta’s min wage is $15/hr x 40 hour/week x 52 weeks = $31,200/year. This is almost $7000 higher than encore. How is this legal??? Because it's comparing apples and oranges. You're comparing someone working full time, at 40 hours per ...

Re: How are flight attendants allowed to make less than Min Wage?

Anyways, can we get back to the topic of the thread. FA's don't make less than minimum wage. Minimum wage is based per hour, not per year. Either no one else will hire him or there is a gun to his head to make him work there.
If its the former maybe he should be grateful someone hired him.
If you don't like a company just leave. No one makes you stay.
He must be a delight to work with.

Curious on peoples thoughts.
