Re: doug ronan removed as director from copa

Perhaps we should send these pages along with a petition to Kevin "putty" Psuka and ask for his resignation, I will also not renew my copa membership which comes due in April. There are already enough of us in this thread that at the very least should shed some light on how why he should be removed ...

Maule m4 as a floatplane

Hey guys looking at a Maule m4 with the io360 210hp, and want to use it on floats, this particular one has vortex generators, wing ext. and droop tips. Anyone have experience or know how well a floatplane this would make? Have been looking at Stinsons, but then this came up. Any info would be great....

Re: U.S. Airways Jet Down in Hudson River

CNN just reporting the same aircraft had compressor stall 2 days prior to Hudson river incident. Just heard it on Cnn but have not found it on their website. They quote a passenger who was on the same aircraft two days prior confirming this was the same A320 that went into the drink. Tsb says they w...

Ok so if your verifier has known you for more than two years do you still need to put your drivers license and passport # in? This should not be so complicated but is any of Transports paperwork easy to understand!

Re: Fatal Floatplane Crash in PQ, May 26, 2008

First I would like to shed some first hand knowledge of this accident. This was a new pilot with a new to him aircraft on floats with only 25hrs floatime. He was flying an external load (folding boat) to go and do some fishing. This was a very unfortunate event as he had very little experience, and ...

VNC charts

Someone posted earlier not sure if it was on this board or not about vnc charts being hard to come by especially the Sault and Thunderbay ones. Anyone have any luck on getting these, the last poster mentioned even the flight schools were resorting to photo copied versions for their students. Thanks FB

Re: FLIGHT COLLEGE PILOTS V.S. FLIGHT SCHOOL PILOTS.

I went the college route as I was 30 and it promissed everything from a private to a commercial multi ifr in 1 year. Being somewhat knowledgeable of how the world works I asked lots of question before I dropped my 40k and thought I had all the right answers. I sold my snowmobile and a few other toys...

Re: 185 Winter kits

We had em on our 165 when it was on wheel skis. left em on till around -7c they were just your typical metal restrictor plates on the front. Ours was a 1969 model not that that should make a difference hope that helps FB.
