Re: Justin Bieber's Pilots Forced to Wear Oxygen Masks to...
pathetic post, pathetic responses, pathetic solutions. THIS IS THE PRIVATE JET WORLD. Customers pay big, you keep your mouth shut. None of you would have done anything about him because none of you would have ever got jobs as private jet pilots. You guys are all just big talk. What has this forum de...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
Right now we have no one looking out for pilots (politically speaking), loose situation. Taking matters into our own hands and, or, being able to lobby, or at least create a presence (politically speaking) is a win situation. Money is not real power, politics are. We need a political presence either...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
I was not personally aware that the current duty rules and guidelines are insufficient or bad. I don't think they are the issue right now. If a study showed that duty time rules are poorly written, what could college do about it? A: COPC could lobby TC to make the necessary adjustment. We can not do...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
@Brown Bear: In my opnion: It is very simple, you admitted that health benefit package would be a great asset, that alone justifies our "dream" or soon to be reality, but I by no means support the college getting involved in union style dealings. And no! bonds are not a issue in my opinion, bonds ar...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
Solving the details and how to make it function, on recommendation of policy is something we as a group can implement or not. Trying to avoid negative impact on the PPL sector is most likely of great concern. The idea of COPC making recommendations to TC sterns from the fact that some pilot feel the...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
No one here really cares, call me blue or white, but that is not a argument to discredit or argue against COPC. It seems like you and a few others are saying blue collar pilots are too inferior to form a College, which is not true, pilots obviously already formed COPC and have 1400 members. Getting ...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
As a working professional pilot, I am definitely NOT a blue collar worker. Gino :partyman: And, with that one sentence, you've managed to insult every man and woman who works in the trades. People who, are intelligent enough, or who have enough pride NO TO WORK for FREE! Who will not post enormous ...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
Traditionally groups like this are called a College. Not a educational college but a professional college. How would we deal with PPL or recreational pilots? Something we as a College need to figure out. But having 2 bodies is not a bad idea either. col·lege ˈkälij/ noun noun: college; plural noun: ...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
a) benefit package is not limited to one company, if you change jobs, you don't lose benefits, if you are unemployed, you don't lose your benefits... b) Belonging to the COPC will automatically lower the employers cost of benefits as the cost savings comes from the buying power of a larger group. c)...

Re: Information Sessions - College of Pilots of Canada
I am sure if Colonel Sanders real name was posted, he would be a totally different poster. Improving our profession will only come from good policy. Prevent Expact flying in Canada is something COPC could accomplish very easily in the future. Lots of employers fake their work permits, and scam the w...

Its not the paper that counts, but what you have to show for. Just because you got a MBA does not mean you are qualified to run a company.

I would really wish, all these low time pilots who bring nothing to the table but cheap or free labour, would just stop this none sense, empty dream and get real people. ALL of us are bitter. I have not met to many pilots who are not bitter. Everyone is stepping over each others dead body, it is sic...

Rampie Position isn't there to give the employer time to figure out over 2 years if the rampie is wasting his time or not. It is not right to hold a employee hostage for 2 years, Fire him the first sign you do not want him to fly for you. There are companies that will not do that. If you meet compan...
