Don't flatter yourself about the wife.
More likely the "locals" have sore eyes from the glare of her pasty flesh in the bright northern sun.
Best if you stay in Toronto where you will be surrounded by civilized folk like you.

Re: Any info on Transwest Air
Yes. Still here. This will be my final post on the subject. You may have missed my point. It's not just this thread it's the whole salty aviator thing. Read your own posts. By the way, you posted on March 24 that you had been at a Saskatchewan regional for about a week. You posted on May 5 that you ...

Re: Any info on Transwest Air
My "angle" is this. I do not know Dan but I am sure he is a nice fellow. It drives me nuts when novice aviators catch the AVCANADA fever and start giving advice to others and passing on second hand info. Dan probably will not answer the question and thats OK. It is not a crime to be a new guy but so...

Re: Any info on Transwest Air
Dan,
Not to defend management at TWA, because I don't work there, but you make it sound like you were Jim's best friend and you are very familiar with the other players,
Didn't you last about a week on the dock/ramp prior to quitting for greener pastures?

The post 2 above is comparing apples and oranges.
The College is neither the US or Canadian government and any comparison is moot.

Re: Multi Engine-Piston PIC
Krimson Let me clarify my statement. I have never been bullied by a Captain nor have I bullied an FO. I was never a seat warmer and have never used another pilot as one. The number of times that I have found it neccessary to take control from an FO is a very small one. Of course FOs should share all...

Re: Multi Engine-Piston PIC
Though always a valued crew member, the F.O. in a light twin is there to assist the Captain. The Captains job is to run the aircraft properly. It is an added bonus that you can learn from the Captain but training you is not part of their job. They are there to provide supervision.
Just sayin'.

Dear Brown Bear,
As you are obviously far more familiar with matters related to butts and their openings I will concede to your wealth of first hand knowledge.

Rowdy, Just making friendly conversation. It was not that long ago that you and I exchanged several PMs about this sort of thing when you were trying to start your career @ TWA. Each to his own when it comes to the value of lessons learned on the ground or the dock. My scenario was predicated on the...

Re: Ground at Wasaya or Transwest?
Consider this: Upon arrival at Blackfly Air you sit down and discuss employment with the Chief Pilot. You are a "professional" pilot. Having spent $50,000. and worked hard for several years you now have MIFR and floats. You have scoured the country on your road trip and really want this job. You are...

Re: Pilot vs. Doctor Pay
I don't dispute the CMA figures but I know for sure that the doctors (GP) in our community are paid $10,000.00 per month base plus $100.00 per hour worked. They also receive a house with all utilities paid and travel allowance.

Re: Man stands throughout 7-hour flight
Flying in this case is most certainly not a "privilege" it is a service that is being provided to a customer that has paid for it.
If your lover gained 250 Lbs. for whatever reason and became a "fat lard" would you tell him that he was a "wasteful and useless member of society"?

Re: Sun Wing FO ad
Yeah, how odd that an employer would publish a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities in a job posting!!
And they even went so far as to say that all qualified people regardless of race, creed etc. are welcome to apply!
Crazy stuff.

Re: How long until the Libyans f*ck things up completely?
Interesting to note that an ad for Libyan based DC9 crews posted on this forum yesterday clearly states that holders of FAA licences and/or US passports need not apply. Further proof that NATO risked the lives of service people and wasted our money when they chose to interfere in a civil war in a co...

Re: Flight Suits
As usual a reasonable question has been met with a barrage of sarcasm from all of the "professional pilots". Speaking from experience I offer the following: Most northern operators above the mom and pop level use flightsuits for some or all of their work. Uniforms look far more professional than jea...
