Re: Sunwing flt 0026 March 1st
you're correct, it seems to have been an error .... FlightAware response below .... I am very sorry for this confusion. It appears that the aircraft was in an estimated postion for part of the flight, which caused a brief error with the tracking information. This may have been caused by the pilot go...

To keep it short, arbitration rulings are usually based on precedence. Your thinking is still pre-Conservative. Harper is rewriting the laws in Canada stripping away labour rights and precedents are now irrelevant. This is a new world order so forget the words "usual", "normal" and "precedent" beca...

Re: Hypocritical Pilots???? Say it ain't so....
My proposal is this. Our union (association, whatever) tells the company that we wont train these guys or work with these guys. Tell our union members involved in the hiring and training of new pilots that we wont train these guys. You do this and this problem will quickly go away. Pilots wont want...

Re: Seniority System ...
name those who profited. Look at what equipment they are on and look at their future prospects, it all worked out quit nicely for them, didn't it. They could have negotiated for the windfall gains to raise the wages of the junior Pilot, but they took a course which would reap maximum gains for them...

Re: Seniority System ...
Actually having a system where all Ten Year Captains etc. make exactly the same pay regardless of type would make excellent sense. Money is worth sooo much more the sooner you get it. The UNION could have used the vast windfall gains that the company is getting because of FlyPast60 to make this poss...

Re: Seniority System ...
Maybe the Union can make some behind closed doors deal with the Company, but the Pilot group typically gets royally screwed whenever they do this. Trouble is, the Union leaders are all close to Sixty. And in Ten years the "Over Sixty" membership will be a large voting block. This War is over.

Even if I was sitting at the top of the seniority list I wouldn't be happy about taking advantage of that position in order to shaft everyone under me. This is funny As for being certain about every airline in the world, I'm not. If you know of one that upgrades airline captains based on who is act...

Re: 900 New jobs at Air Canada LCC
Ac has a capital commitment to boeing of $894 for 2014. $596 in 2013. This will absolutely be no problem if Obama gets reelected, with QE3 a done deal we're looking at Obama going to infinite Quantitative Easing ... the American Dollar will soon be worthless. Unless of course Canada goes the way of...

am curious to know what impact the Aug Equipment bid will have on people in my course. The results of the August Bid will determine which slots are needed to be filled by new hires. The ONLY thing we can do is be organized from coast to coast. No more pilot vs pilot. Standard non negotiable pay rates and 1 list seniority. .... The only way to improve the situation is to work with other pilot groups as a whole. You would need a dynamic intelligent leader, someone with "People" ...
