Re: Who Else Looked Up To . Yeager As a Kid?
General Yeager was pretty funny on facebook. He never hesitated to make a comment on other pilots and his opinion about their skills or lack thereof. I'm guessing you don't get to be one of the top test pilots at Edwards back in the 1950s without having a higher regard for your own skills than the o...

I'm pretty sure the insurance companies would have got after this if the seatbelt was not going to hold me. I'm not the only guy that likes pizza flying. Interesting to read the 215lb criteria though.

No, but I admit, I'm having a pretty good year. I actually have money in my wallet. like enough for a large pizza extra cheese. I think I flew over 3 hours too.

Re: Another Crash in BC
GPS trackers are “fail-safe”. They leave a trail of breadcrumbs that ends when the unit is destroyed or electrical power is removed—and it’s likely going to be close to the crash site. That's fine for super wealthy elite 1% guys. What about us po' folk? Those units are like a hunnerd an fitty bucks...

Re: Got a letter from a Doctor at Transport regarding my class 01
I can't speak kilograms but I'm probably more of them than that. I got blood work done a few months before my last Cat3 and my CAME seemed happy with the amount of residual fast food/pizza grease in my blood.
Get the blood work done just to make sure you're good.

Re: Flight training with masks?
I went out for 1.4 yesterday and once we were done I didn't even bother taking the mask off until I left the building after a debrief and settling my account. I was using a disposable mask and wore my eyeglasses. Minimal fog issues. It was even a pretty warm day and the straps went behind my ears. M...

I don't know, do you really think that 0.3 dual cross country time logged as regular time is going to make a big difference?

Re: Logging cross country
Funny how many different opinions there are on this sort of thing. Way back I did my first X-country solo as a student pilot with a touch and go at the other airport. Last year I was told not to log going to that same airport and doing touch and goes as x-country because, "You need a full stop ...
