Re: List of Aerobatic facility in Canada

Are they more dangerous than those old fashioned planes with the little wheel at the back?

Sorry, I’m just bitter about most of the FTUs disappearing from the Calgary region.

If I wanted to get a license in 2005 I would definitely check out that topic in the link. Plenty of information from almost ten years ago there.

Re: Who should pay for the extra seat for large passengers?
Of course if I was in charge they might have some wide seats available on some flights. No reason to punish them with the regular crappy seats while charging extra. Sigh, it’ll probably never happen in my lifetime. Wait, don’t they have those, I believe it’s called business class You might be right...

Re: Who should pay for the extra seat for large passengers?
Also not to bully anyone that massive but if you need to take up a second seat, you’re going to need to pay extra. Everyone is spilling out of their seats now. It used to be that the 150 was cramped and the 737 spacious....

You mean the extra fare for leaving the airport?
Do you know a regular monthly pass works for that ride?

Code books have always been a bit expensive. They are a bit daunting, part of apprenticeship training is “how to read and interpret the code book.” Many guys least favourite class. Most electricians never buy another one after they finish trade school. https://www.csagroup.org/store/canadian-electri...

Re: Calgary Flying Club successful forced approach.
I have a buddy who was out with a student in the 1990s when the club plane they were flying suffered a broken crank shaft. Glided to a field and landed. Walked to a house and borrowed the phone. Guy got his moneys worth out of that forced approach lesson. the rapidity with which a distant ATC unit w...
