I bought a saitek yoke and throttle system with extra throttle and rudders for about $400. You can set it up so you have 2 throttle 2 props 2 mixtures. it has several but...

Re: N512JT Gulfstream 5 (Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainmen
A few years ago my buddy was an AME on one based in Canada (Southwestern Ontario) and I seem to think that it was flying an N Registration and I think we had the conversation of flying an N Tail # in Canada). The pilots were Canadian. The answer was that the aircraft was not type rated by Canada. I ...

I remember hearing my first instructor yelling Flair Flair Flair as I was watching the runway coming up o hit us ..... thinking to myself .. "what is a flair " Moral of the story ... don't always assume the student knows ... I real...

Interesting all the pioints of view on medivacs .... There is good reading here. I just wanted to add about the waste of Government money here. I think Doc mentioned that. I started doing Medivacs with Bearskin in the mid late 80's and then for a company out of Sault Ste. Marie. There were some trip...

Re: Pilot License Number Meaning
When I started flying in Ontario in 1979 the Student Pilot Permit was X2#####, Private was YZP 2#####, Commercial was YZC plus the digits and ATPL was YZA plus the digits and now no letters just the digits. The numbers have always stayed the same. My licence was alway 6 numbers, I had a PPC once and...

I am pretty sure that I saw a dvd training video when I was in Sportys Pilot shops web site. I know that Microsoft Flight Sim X has some aircraft in there that have the Garmin 1000 in them and you acutually fly them in the simulator right on your computer.
Hope this helps. Fly Safe

Re: Multi FO time vs. Single PIC time
Just an insight to down the road a few years. Alot of people who start in the right seat and stay in the right seat have trouble with the 25 hours ( I think thats the number) of PIC NIGHT CROSS COUNTRY to meet the requirements for the ATPL. 500 or 600 hours of PIC is much better looking than very li...
