I sounds like there are 8 or 9 getting layoff notices. The bottom of the seniority list so there is a mix of guys from Thompson and some down in Winnipeg. At a company town hall meeting last month one of the vice presidents talked about the next few ATRs to come into the fleet in the next year or so...

Calm Air operated one of its Saab 340s for Bearskin for 8 months last year. Employees were told that they would be operating the aircraft for a period, and then two Saabs would be sold to Bearskin. It's for a contract with the nunavut government for medical travel between YRT and YWG.

Pretty good place to work. Schedule varies depending on the aircraft and base, but most everybody is home everynight. The schedule is bid based on seniority and a/c type and there is enough diversity among what people like that nobody really gets a bad schedule. Overnights generally get scooped up i...
